Woo Hoo! Things have been much too quiet around here. First, GREAT link Leonard. I really enjoyed reading it. Quite timely as I just screened the Gore film last night. Some observations:
The second paragraph of the article kind of gives the whole thing away...the "report" is presented by the GOP. You know me, I scrutinize the source. In scrolling down through the list of scientists, I noted that the first one, Dr. Paldor, thinks nukes are the answer. Nukes?
The second one was kind of a hoot...Dr. Rancort. Talk about strange bed fellows. He is indeed a prof. in Ottawa but has been asked by the administration of that university to step down from teaching three classes that he developed. Seems he's a bit of a lefty...anti-American, anti-war and very active in the effort to assist jailed Muslums up there.
Nevertheless, I loved Rancort's quote from the report: "As a general rule, all life on Earth does better when it's hotter". ROTFLMFAO! He compares the eco-diversity at the poles to that of the equator. Yeah, I guess there are more bugs and monkeys and shit at the equator than at the poles so...BRING ON THE HEAT! Too funny.
Generally speaking, it seems the thrust of the report is to classify the threat of global warming as a first world ghost story and to enable emerging nations to have their day in the 122 degree sun. They understandably don't want the party to stop before they even get there. Hey, I can't blame them. They want air conditioning just like we do.
Sen Inhofe is big oil and gas. His answer to the enviromental problem is to dig up Alaska and harvest the dark, oily fruits of that very productive warm time that the earth endured eons ago. He challenges the media to "get the facts straight" yet, declined to be interviewed by CNN regarding the report.
Merry Christmas to all! 20

Global warming? Just finished reading some of the Holy Word of God in the Bible and Global warming is for real. In fact it's only gonna get a whole lot worse, GOD plans to burn it all up. World Wide Cleaning by FIRE. I wonder if Gore will want credit for that too?
