Heard a discussion and read a blog on Global Anti-Americanism that I thought was 'sharable'

"There is another obvious argument against the belief that the world hates America: Many millions of people would rather live in America than in any other country. How does the left explain this? Why would people want to come to a country they loathe? Why don't people want to live in Sweden or France as much as they wish to live in America? Those are rich and free countries, too.

The answer is that most people know there is no country in the world more accepting of strangers as is America. After three generations, people who have emigrated to Germany or France or Sweden do not feel -- and are not regarded as -- fully German, French or Swedish. Yet, anyone of any color from any country is regarded as American the moment he or she identifies as one. The country that the left routinely calls "xenophobic" and "racist" is in fact the least racist and xenophobic country in the world."

I'm a little late with this but it's true the American's accept any nationality and if they are accepted in to the country legally you are willing to call them American. Those that hate America are easily influenced by the media; experience first hand gives you the opportunity to make up your mind yourself. I love America and here in the UK above my home office, I have the American flag flying.. I am still a permanent resident and spend half my year there.
America is a melting pot and a big one at that [Smile]

Welcome to The New Huntmasters, heiditrap. Glad to have you on board.

But, I'm a bit confused? Are you an American living in England 6 months, or British living elsewhere six months? Not that it's any of my business, just curious. You are not an average member so I'm curious as to how you got here and what it might be about a predator hunting site that interests you? LB

That is no longer true. A "melting pot" is where all different sorts of ingredients are combined and the resultant alloy is one common "base" ingredient.

We are no longer seeing the melting and combining of nationalities with the resulting "alloy" being an "American".

What we are experiencing in the U.S., now, is the establishment of micro feudal-like states, where the "motherland" still holds sway over the people (i.e., Mexico, Iran, Iraq, India, China, etc.) Just look at the volume of US dollars being sent "home" to these countries. These immigrants are not becoming assimilated into mainstream American society. They are not becoming "Americans", but are vociferously clinging to their foreign roots and lifestyles.

America has gone from melting pot to chamber pot.
