Two U.S. Border Patrol Agents have been sentenced to a
decade long prison terms for apprehending an illegal
alien at our border!

Almost as outrageous is that the illegal alien drug
smuggler, who was given immunity for testifying against
the agents is now suing the U.S. for $5 million, claiming
he was permanently injured!

I have just signed a petition calling for the President
to pardon these two Border Agents and I’m asking you to
join with me by clicking here for the full story and the petition:

http://www.grassfire.org/142/petition.asp?PID=12320115&NID=1
Thanks!

Tim, did you hear that the suit against the government was paid for ($5,000) by a Border Patrol Agent who is a friend of the smuggler, and owns connecting property on both sides of the border, where the shooting occured? WTF?

Good hunting. LB

I didn't hear about that, but I did hear that the "Injured" smuggler was caught and freed a second time for smuggling drugs.

I thought Catch and Release was a method of fishing, not Border Protection. Who's side is the Government on?

You know i think we should give those guys a pardon here they are risking there lives to keep aliens out of the OUR COUNTRY and they get sent to prison because they wounded some gosh darn piece of crap drug dealer who is selling drugs and getting our children hooked on that sh**t. I think they should send them to a varmit hunters shooting academy so that they dont miss the kill zone next time or maybe would should send them a copy of the video The Simple Man by Charlie Daniels Band

What they say is the thing that got them in trouble is not reporting the shots fired, and then they policed up the empty brass.

Even so, maybe they deserved administrative discipline or to be fired. But, WTF? Eleven years? Give the Mexican total immunity? Then he was caught doing the same thing five months later....also immunity. Man, they really wanted to hang these guys.

Oh, and the agent bankrolling the civil suit? He has a deal to split the 5 million dollars with the smuggler since he put up the retainer.

This shit really stinks.

Good hunting. LB

edit: oh yeah, another thing. I talked to an Agent that told me that most of the guys buy and carry their own sidearm because of all the bs associated with reporting shots fired. What he meant was they sometimes like to take a potshot at a coyote, and it would be impossible, with a government firearm and ammo.

Thanks Leonard for the quick response maybe we need to get back to the basics. I am sure in the 70's and the 80's or evan the 90's we would have given these guys a medal for trying to protect our borders now we just throw them in prison i understand about them trying to cover it up but still they were doing there jobs some action needs to be taken but 11 yrs in jail is not the right answer

This whole thing is totally wrong. No matter how you slice it. I really like Tony Snow, but I was wanting to bitch slap him thru the TV the other day when he was defending the white house postition that there was a fair trial and we didnt have all the facts. I know the basics and that was plenty for me. [Mad]

I just spotted this short video clip at www.americanpatrol.com It's at the top of the page - won't be there for more than a day or two. Title is: America's Most Wanted Exposes the Political Prosecution (Border Shooting). I found it very interesting to view. (It has already been moved.)

By Sara A. Carter, Staff Writer
Article Launched: 02/06/2007 01:50:52 PM PST

Former Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos, who was imprisoned last month for shooting a Mexican drug smuggler, was assaulted Saturday night in prison while he was sleeping.
Ramos, one of two agents convicted of shooting of Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila, reported the incident to prison guards after the assailants kicked him repeatedly and called him names in Spanish, said his wife, Monica Ramos.

Officials at Yazoo City Federal Penitentiary in Mississippi, where Ramos is serving his sentence, confirmed the assault

Leonard, That sucks big time. Hopefuly washington will get enough pressure from "We the People" that they will get a pardon before they are hurt further. I relocated the website I posted earlier that expired. This one shouldn't expire for a while. Like I said earlier, I found this on the Border Patrol site and it's from one of America's Most Wanted shows. It's a short video clip that can be downloaded. www.americanpatrol.com/07-FEATURES/070205-AMW-TJ-BONNER/070205_Feature.html
