Nancy Pelosi condemned the new record highs of the stock market as "just another example of Bush policies helping the rich get richer". "First Bush cut taxes for the rich and the economy has rebounded with new record low unemployment rates, which only means wealthy employers are getting even wealthier at the expense of the underpaid working class".
She went on to say "Despite the billions of dollars being spent in Iraq our economy is still strong and government tax revenues are at all time highs. "What this really means is" that business is exploiting the war effort and working Americans, just to put money in their own pockets". When questioned about recent stock market highs she responded "Only the rich benefit from these record highs. Working Americans, welfare recipients, the unemployed an d minorities are not sharing in these obscene record highs".
"There is no question these windfall profits and income created by the Bush administration need to be taxed at 100% rate and those dollars redistributed to the poor and working class".
"Profits from the stock market do not reward the hard work of our working class who, by their hard work, are responsible for generating these corporate profits that create stock market profits for the rich. We in congress will need to address this issue to either tax these profits or to control the stock market to prevent this unearned income to flow to the rich".
When asked about the fact that over 80% of all Americans have investments in mutual funds, retirement funds, 401K's, and the stock market she replied "That may be true, but probably only 5% account for 90% of all these investment dollars. That's just more "trickle down" economics claiming that if a corporation is successful that everyone from the CEO to the floor sweeper benefit from higher wages and job security which is ridiculous". How much of this "trickle down" ever get to the unemployed and minorities in our county? None, and that's the tragedy of these stock market highs."
"We democrats are going to address this issue after the election when we take control of the congress. We will return to the 60% to 80% tax rates on the rich and we will be able to take at least 30% of all current lower Federal Income Tax taxpayers off the roles and increase government income substantially. We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest."
When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied "We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long ways to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as "Americans"
A Bush spokesman responded to this interview by saying "Mrs. Pelosi has set a new standard for the spin business".

Holy crap What can you say to that. A common sence 'econ101' response would be useless considering her grasp on reality is non existant. The tragedy is that there are idiots out there that will hear this and nod their heads in agreeement. Hold on to your ass(wallets) boys.

Holy crap. If anyone in their right mind ever wondered about just how socialist the left could go, Pelosi has disspelled all doubts.
Now, I don't know about all those companies in California or on the East Coast, but here in the heartland, more profits has prompted several companies to expand. For the most part, that has meant more and better jobs. For those willing to work.
My stock portfolio is growing by leaps and bounds. Pretty happy with my dividends there for the most part. Maybe I'm just an evil conservative, but I'm really having trouble seeing the down side here. A little help?

I belive that this was all foretold by the Prophet Gump; "Stupid is as stupid does." Two years of Ms.Pelosi and the Republicans should be looking pretty good in '08.

Unbelievable.
I hope Bob stops in here and enlightens us on how this type of thinking is beneficial to anyone BUT the worthless.
I have never understood how anyone who works for a living could ever vote for a democrat.
If someone does not understand that EVERYTHING is wrong with those statements above they are too f'ing stupid to possess the power of a vote.

Yeah, they are going to want to put a muzzle on that bitch. Dems, not the Republicans. Welcome to their version of "Brave New World". How can two people sit side by side in a classroom and grow up with such divergent social and political views? She is a transplanted east coast Brahmin, you know? She belongs at home, cleaning house. Them Dems are crazy! They are well on their way to becoming the Nanny Party. Can we divide the Country in half? That would suit me just fine. I can just see intelligent people crashing through the barbed wire in a hail of machinegun fire; like East Berlin in '61.
Good hunting. LB

I could go with division. Let us have the western half and the dems can have east of the Mississippi. Im in.
California is a beautiful state from tip to tip. Get out the liberals and make them move east and it would be perfect. Not crowded anymore and the ones left would be in their right mind. I would move there myself.
The way it is now, I wont even visit.

Working people vote for dems not realizing that doing so harms their employers.
Not to sound racist, but black people vote dem because they don't realize it was the Republicans that fought for civil rights. Same for hispanics. Its apparently true that if you say something often enough and loud enough, it somehow becomes true.
A sub letter carrier in our office is big cioty and she's a proud liberal. Having carried mail for a year now, she sees the abuses by the lower class people and now, she'll carry on about whose getting their welfare check when they can work but don't, yada, yada, yada, and it irritates the hell outta her when I remark about how she's starting to sound like a hate mongering republican.

If it was just welfare, but it's not. Special consideration on admissions to Universities, free tuition, job preferences, hiring policies, student loans, free abortion on demand, rent subsidies, loans that don't require repayment,.............
Next, it's free computers, free HBO, free gas money, free chump change walking around money, free beer, free methadone, free crack... cradle to grave subsidies on things we haven't even thought of yet.
Reparations? Highly probable. Fleece whitey, bleed the working class.

Just a damn minute there partner - Don't forget about us Feedom FIghters here in the North East. The resistance is alive and well. Don't forsake us. We got guns, and we know how to use them. Some of us anyway.
On the other hand, did you know that there are more civilian contractors in Iraq than there are US Troops?
True.

I think it only fair to point out that this article that was posted is satire and not true. Before you post something like this, check the source first. I would like to add however, that satire is only satire if it closely reflects the real attitude of the person, or is close to the truth. As far as all the other posts are concerned, GOOD JOB! I agree with everything said! And, the original article is probably more true than she would admit to in public. Too bad there isn't a season on politicians.

Welcome to the New Huntmasters, hud. Glad to have you on board.
As far as satire, and truth, I have not a clue which catagory? But, it sure has the ring of truth.
Along the same lines, I got an email from a left leaning friend, a couple days ago, in which the IQ of every President was listed, from Hoover to George W. Bush. It said (among other things) that Bill Clinton's IQ was 182, and Carter had a 176 IQ. Both Bush's and Reagen were below 100.....makes me consider the source as possibly bogus? Lefty's are always labeling Republican Presidents as stupid. Whatever. Kerry's Yale grades were lower than Bush, but they (Dems) seldom mention that detail.
Good hunting. LB

Thanks for the welcome. I have enjoyed reading the posts here for a while now, and just decided to join in. As far as presidential IQ's go, I don't care what it is as long as they are smart enough to do things right. And by comparison, I think Bush has far surpassed Carter, Clinton, Gore, Kerry, etc...... And, he has integrity. I have been pleased to see him say "the buck stops here" even when it is clearly not his fault. That's a far cry from the others trying to weasle their way out of blame for everything they get caught red handed doing. the Mr.Bill escapades brought more disgrace to the presidency than ANY other president in history.
Looking forward to more reading on the board. Good luck and good hunting!

Ok; Ronald Reagan had a 100 I.Q. Since we all know that those on the left would never lie to us, it must be true. So......what can we learn regarding presidential I.Q.??
Perhaps it is that a person does not have to be a genius to be successful. All one really needs to do is work hard & surround yourself with brilliant people to give good advice and you can even become president.
Now......does this have implications for the homeless bum down on the corner?? You bet!!! The moral here seems to be that he should get up off of his dead ass, get a job, dump Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton and start listening to Rush Limbaugh.
And one more thing.......If Bill Clinton is such a brain, why can't he attract better looking women??
