I say Chad, but anybody like Walt, those that have traipsed around the Black Rock Desert since the late 60's.
What about the (whatever it is) I have not attended, but I have an opinion on that Hedonistic Clusterfuck!
I've killed a number of desert Lynxcats, (back in the day) up there and also a few desert coyotes.
I feel like these assholes should stay out! It's not good for the desert. It's kind of disgraceful.
I mean, to each their own, but the Black Rock Desert don't need that shit!

Well, the ranchers up there would welcome a coyote contest. Nobody in that country from Gerlach, Empire or the ranchers have never been real enthused about Burning Man. Having watched it over a number of years I must say one thing and that is they always did clean the place up when they left. That is the only good thing I can say about it. For the most part everybody stayed there in the allotted area it was held. I have only run into a couple people in trucks that were from there and they were just drive-bys. I spent most of my time north of where they hold that fustercluck. Nice country and good coyote and cat hunting and for the most part you are all alone up there except for a buckaroo doing fence line now and then. My wifes ashes are spread around up there at one of our favorite areas. We loved that place and the ranchers that lived and work there.

I've hunted near there out of Winnemucca but never been to the festival. Then again, I've never been to Mardi-gras either. I read somewhere that Burning Man tickets start at $500 ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)

Well, just because they clean up at the end of the party, they still have left a lasting damage for at least 25 miles in every direction. We do not need that shit, up in what was always pristine desert habitat. I've hunted all over that desert and I'm offended just to think of Tickets starting at $500! Yee Gods!
Who the hell is profiting of that party in BLM Land? I mean, I haven't been there, it could even be on the Pyramid Reservation for all I know? Which is it and who's profiting from that outrageous entrance fee?
I don't know, but I say, we don't fucking need it! Cancel that fucking Hedonistic Circle Jerk!

Burning Man started out as a hippy-fest out in the desert. Good fun, good times. Now $$$ is involved and the rich & famous attend.
Stroll down memory lane;
Long ago in Chatsworth or possibly Calabasas Calif. they held a Pumpkin Festival and a couple of weeks later in the same location, The Renascence Festival by the same bunch of hippies who just changed costumes. Free parking in a dirt field & admission was either a donation or cheap. I don't remember which. It was all funky & fun.
Now ....... The Renascence Festival has moved to a permanent site near Apache Junction here in Az. and runs for over a month. Costs to park, serious coin to get in and a bottle of water (that you can't bring in ) casts $5.00. Interesting place but never again.

I went to one of those things, not far from me. I think a turkey leg was $10? We sorta walked in a big circle then ended at the jousting tournament which was all scripted and fake. Not very memorable but expensive.
Not worth attending again.
But I bet I know the location at Apache Junction. Big western cowboy thing. Reenactments. I bought a cast iron lizard, probably 20 pounds, didn't have to lug it very far. It's still out front, nobody has stole it yet.
