Hey just a heads up on a new DVD thats out there on calling red fox.. The DVD is made by a friend ( Ulf Lindroth) from the "Winter riflemen group"and IMO is pretty dam good job of filming and calling. If anyone would be interested in buying one of his DVD's just let me know and I'll get a price and other ordering info. Thanks..
Here is a sample of Ulf DVD.

Nice kill shot, but I don't speak Swedish(?). Be kinda weird watching a whole video and not having a damn clue what they are saying. Do they caption any of their videos?
Also, wonder if you have to call in Swedish to those foxes or if good 'ol English calling will work?

Like I said in first post the vid. posted was a sample.. The DVD is in English and covers a bunch of hunts along with calling instruction. I've called alot of red fox in my years and this is the best DVD I have ever seen on the subject of calling redfox and sounds to use with most of his tactics being the same as what I use here so to answer the other question. Yes! You can apply it to calling red fox here in the states....

Don't believe that is a new DVD, but I may be wrong. I think it is at least five years old and maybe older. Ulf spent some time at our house and we had a chance to get in a short hunt. I believe he also done some calling with Vic.

JP the short clip I posted is a old clip of some of Ulf's hunts.. Ulf sent me a New DVD he has out (this spring , Fox calling, The right sound at the right place) and asked me if I could find some stores that would sell them or anyone else that may be interested in haveing one.. I just used the old clip to give others a idea of what to exspect. At the moument I'm trying to get Ulf hooked up with the Scheels sporting goods stores in the midwest which is a slow process...

I'm impressed with how calling DVDs with kill shots how they almost always call in open country. An ex President of PVCI made a DVD with some shots in brush country and was able to get a few kill shots in but I would have to say if 30% of the landscape is covered in sage brush or some other brush really makes filming harder.
I find in hard to call coyotes in open country unless that is the only type of country around.
