My grandson, Jonathan, and his cousin, Danny, went this afternoon late over to Anderson County to make a couple of stands. Last stand, with about ten minutes of light available. Jonathan used his Cronk Buffalo Horn howler and his Foxpro Spitfire to call in a beautiful 46 lb. male coyote, and he did the dirty deed at about 80 yards. Beautifully furred out and a heavy boned specimen. If he had been longer coupled, he would easily have weighed in the mid to high 50 lb. category. Good job for a good grandson who has come a long way since our first double together about ten years ago. I am real proud of his progress over the years. Now if I could just get him to carry a decent camera to do these beautiful animals justice. Oh well, can't have everything. He is one hell of a good coyote hunter and that is good with his old Peepaw.

It varies with the coyote. I have been skinning a few and trying my hand with tanning them. Getting better each try, but need a good place to skin them. Working on that next. My grandsons skin a few and have a few mounted, and they have some fellows who will skin them and sell them. I have a fellow like that who has 9 kids and it looks like money from heaven to him even when they aren't bring much.
