I see on the radio that there will already be a 24 hour coyote contest the 1st week-end that the new night hunting rules are in effect here in the Gila Valley. Hopefully, everybody will be on their best behaviour and not give the forces of evil anything to use against us. If anybody's interested, I can get contact info the next time they run the ad. A pity that the fur will be pretty much worthless, though.

That's deserving of a big chuckle. I bet it is deliberate, causing the forces of evil sleepless nights and also guaranteeing an army of enforcement wonks behind every bush while the contest is conducted. Even if no blood is shed, it will be worth it.
Good hunting. LB

I couldn't make the hunt but did go to the check-in. 38 teams. 1st place was won with a coyote, fox & bobcat. 2nd place a fox & bobcat. 3rd place was taken with a coyote. That was all of the animals taken & none were taken at night.
This night hunting is going to be an interesting learning curve for both the hunters and the coyotes.

Yes, a learning curve, like learning to drive a car without wheels or motor.

I used to listen to a radio show on Sunday mornings out of Fallon, Nevada, while driving through. People would call in and say they had three goats, call Martha, or a tranny out of a 1953 John Deer, or fresh made peanut brittle and canned peaches for sale. Shit like that. I thought it was a fascinating window on rural America.

El Bee; We still have a radio program like that here in Safford on Sat. mornings. Let me know when you're bringing my new shottie over & I'll get you the digits.
"I seen it on the radio" was part of an old radio ad campaign, promoting radio advertising for a station in the Valley of San Fernando. Always thought that it was kind of catchy.

I KNEW I've seen you before! You used to hang out on Sunset, those expresso coffee shops. Black watch cap, blue sneakers, gnarly beard, always smelled faintly of weed? Yup!

Nope, wasn't me. I could never figure out which end of Sunset the hookers were on and which end the trannies were on so I stayed over on Sepulvada Blvd. where it's all hookers, all the time. You seem to know your way around Sunset rather well, though???? ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif)

Oh yeah? How could you notice me on Sunset when you were on MELROSE, all night? lol
Good hunting. LB
PS I don't know anything about your neighborhood, I grew up in the decidedly hick San Gabriel Valley. We were scared to death to venture west, still am.

Never been on Melrose. I have been to the Page museum at the La Brea Tar Pits though. Neat place to spend an afternoon. ![[Cool]](cool.gif)
