My grandson, Jonathan, called in and killed an unusual marked male coyote last week. He is making a rug out of his beautiful coat.

I like the looks of that coyote. Did he get it near dusk? I'd think that with that dark coat, he'd really vanish in low light conditions.

He told me that it was so near dark, that he would never have seen how to shoot without a good scope.

Good looking beast but I'm kind of glad that the coyotes around here are more or less normal. I'm afraid that I'd hesitate too long making sure that it wasn't a ranch dog and lose the opportunity.
