Yes, totally kool.
I don't know if anybody remembers that I have hunted Mexico? Been at least ten years, but that's what it is like, almost unbelievable, if you have not experienced it. It's too bad that things are so fucked up down there.
They never mentioned the red tape and the hassle in getting your guns okayed and buying the hunting license. If it has changed, I don't know, but it used to require two trips and that one guy, in the second video is probably the guide, which was another law they started and which was something we found to be unworkable, when we were under the pressure of a club hunt and hooking up with these Manyana boys can be quite frustrating. Then, another rule they sprung on us, you can only bring two coyotes back which became a deal breaker.
Anyway, it's just as well because of the danger, literally behind every bush. The cartels and the Federales aren't much better. The good old days are long gone.
These guys were in a Texas rig and it wasn't that long ago, so I guess it's still possible, if you want to risk your life?
But, I hate to be a crank, or a Cronk. None of those guys knew a damned thing about handling coyotes. &, way too many hunters. Way too many! Excellent country, I know it well. Looks just like most of Sonora from below Lukeville east to Sasabe, in other words, south of the Rez.

Wow, I didn't know Dave spoke messkin. Those coyotes seemed to think he's bilingual?
Agree with Leonard, kind of a waste of resources. I am jealous though.

Ive killed a bunch of meskin coyotes....just never crawled under the fence after shooting them to drag them back to the truck:) Ive also killed a lot of mexican coyotes after calling them under the fence, onto my side of the border. Ive just never killed Mexican coyotes while actually hunting legally "in" Mexico, which I have absolutely no desire to do. Ive not set foot in Mexico for over 20 years, and have no thought of doing so in the future.

Well, I have probably mentioned this before, as well? I have made stands right on the border and killed coyotes on the Mexican side. Then, stupid as it sounds, I have climbed the fence and drug coyotes into the U.S. Of course, some of them would save me the trouble. It is amazing how fast a coyote can pass through a barb wire fence! In many areas, the border is marked by two barbed wire fences, a foot apart. Used to be, anyway? In some places they have put up those stupid crossed 6" square tubing, which might stop a Ford pickup, but wetbacks can pass through, no problamo.
So Vic. You are a wanted man, south of the border? If it was only one, they have probably forgot about it, by now? I know of a guy that killed a Mexican cop on a motorcycle, in Baja who has been living in Texas, working as a mechanic for a freight airline. He won't go back, either.

I went to MX last year to coues deer hunt. Crossed the border at Douglas, AZ with no problems. The gun permits were handled by a Mexican outfitter but we hunted on our own no guide on a ranch we bought permits on. I didn't blow a call one time down there, saw a hand full of coyotes but we were in different country than those guys were in. We were in coues deer country and those guys look to be in mule deer country.
We didn't jack around in town and never left the ranch. We also traveled in the early morning and saw very little traffic on the highways.

I remember you sharing that hunt with us, at the time, Jeremy. I was jealous, of course. Would you do it again? How about fifteen coyotes in 15 minutes? That's very tempting! I think it can still be done, at Sells dump, for instance, but .....

I would like to go hunt mule deer sometime in the near future. The 15 coyote deal is pretty cool and is any coyote hunters wet dream.
FYI I think if a guy knows what he is doing can get the gun permits yourself. I have a good friend (US citizen) that guides for coues in mx that does all his clients permits himself.
The deer hunting is good money for the ranch owners and they have figured out that they can increase their deer numbers by controlling predators so I think they try to thin them as much as possible with all means (poison etc...)

I was very surprised to see the ARs down there. I always heard it was more problematic to be caught with anything that was military caliber. Maybe they were shooting 6.8 spc or some other non military caliber. When are we going to get a pres that has the Kahonnees to simply take the country over and put gringos in charge. You get rid of the graft and corruption and Mexico would be a great country.
