Opening morning IL. firearm deer season spotted this coyote out in the corn stalks. Pulled out my WW call and brought it in 120yrds rem 11-87 12ga rem core lock slugs. Completly lifted the coyote off the ground and did a mid air flip. Here is were i was setting. coyote spotted in direction of grain bin in the distance. Yote stopped and got wind of me or spoked maybe due to haveing to wear blaze orange.Small patch of grass in center of pic is were the yote was.Couldnt find enterance of bullet untill i looked and found that i gave it the texas heart shot(nothing personal texas residents thats just what it has always been called up here for the but shot) Hero shot of yote and 11-87

Nice coyote, had me puzzled when you said you had a hard time finding an entrance. I would have thought a slug gun would leave a mark.

Nice shooting Clint!
Wouldn't want to mess up the fur...
The only time we can use slugs on coyote is during deer season and only when holding an unused deer tag. That's just two weekends a year!
Lots of critters have fallen to the sound of a "Wounded Weasel" call.
