I started carrying a nice camera with me this year. I don't have a good wildlife lens, but it works well once they get under 75 yards. I thought you guys might enjoy them.

I really like the second one's attitude. At first, I thought it was the same animal, but changed my mind. Thanks for sharing.
Good hunting. LB

Awesome pics! Love action shots! What type of camera did you get?? I need to get a nice one soon.
Posted by tlbradford (Member # 1232) on November 16, 2010, 08:06 PM:
I'm not that patient. Here is the coyote from the second photo. 30lb male. He had a pretty good gash on his chin from something.

SLYDOG?
Is that a Krakatoa we are looking at?

Yes, it is the Krakatoa. I have been very impressed with it so far. I was worried it would eat up batteries, but it has been great. It took about 3 stands and I lost the little plastic knob on the remote though.
Slydog on the rifle is for giving Rich G a little advertising when he starts marketing his calls again. However, it doesn't really apply to this guy since it was all foxpro.

The coyote's expression in the 2nd pic looks like that of a fat kid about to hit the buffet!
Great shots!

I really admire pics of live coyotes and those who have what it takes to get them. I like the way the second one is framed thru the shrubbery and he looks much healthier than in the follow up shot.
However, I too am best described by this:

I lack the patience. KILL 'EM!!! Then take pics. LOL
...so you camera buffs keep up the good work!

Al, you really should start using photobucket.com if you want to share photos. Its super simple. Just upload and then just copy and paste the image code in your post and bam....full size photos on your post. No links and no size problems.
bradford, nice pics again.

I am just now learning how to use this program and overall, I like it better. The only reason those pictures showed up smaller is that I saved them from your photos before editing. They would have been full size if I had put them into the editing program from my camera. In fact, they just sent me an instruction sheet for how to treat photos I want to share.
I only clarified your photos a bit to make them clearer. Did you look at the photos I posted about Tundra Wookie's visit down here to Ky.? They look really good to me and they came from the same program.

Cool pics either way.
BTW, Thanks for the loads, Al.

How about "Shot 3 WA coyotes, one more than Krusty"
Al, I see what you are going for by boosting the contrast way up. Everybody has a different opinion on how to edit photos, and I may suggest that if you like those images with lots of contrast you do it in a black and white. Otherwise, you'll end up with something that may be clearer, but isn't "true to life." I don't mind at all you playing around with the photos either. I am still in the very first stages of photography and can use all the help I can get. Especially with editing.

You could probably sell that one? I think any national publication would buy it.
Good hunting. LB
edit: my comment was directed at knockemdown, he had asked for a new title but I couldn't think of one.

Oh, for knockemdown...how about, "Tree stands work for the elusive Eastern coyotes"
Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on November 18, 2010, 11:08 AM:
I can play with that.
TREE STANDS. WORK FOR THE ELUSIVE EASTERN COYOTE HUNTER.

Lone Howl, let me know if you want me to email a full size photo to you. Then you could just print it out at your local photo place. I think an 8x10 costs about a $1.00.
I like it Leonard. It is that kind of clever play on words that keeps the sponsors contributing to the website.
