It was recently rumored in central Kentucky, land of the marsupial, Possumal, that he was looking hard for the Tundra Wookie to show up in the land of grits and possums. This picture proves that rumor to be true:

I'm amazed that somebody has not commented on you photos, Al? Good pictures and thanks for sharing, much appreciated. Who's the old guy?
Good hunting. LB

Leonard, I am new to Zenfolio and probably showed you a bunch of pictures. The "Old guy" must be your own true Possumal, Esquire, or "Possume" as that durned Rich Cronk calls me. He has called me worse though when he got mad at me one time, but I think he is the greatest anyway
In any event, the detective Possumal did in fact find the Tundra Wookie or maybe it was the other way around at the Bluegrass Field in Lexington, Ky. on the 5th of November. Here is proof of that:

FLASH: Tundra Wookie officially promoted to "Kaintucky Rifleman First Class". He came to the town of Possumville armed with great hope and anticipation, and a brand new Sako Tikka 243 equipped with a Bushnell 6500 Elite. After loading up some new brass with Possumal's personal coyote load centered around a Sierra 70 grain Blitz King, we went to my shooting farm and he found his Tikka did indeed like my personal load, as he was shooting 1/2" groups routinely at 100 yds. Went out for one early morning stand with no customers, but on the very first stand next morning, he did the dirty deed on a beautiful triple consisting of 3 bonded females, apparently last years pups. It was his first triple ever, anywhere, and was it ever a dandy! Two laying dead at 162 yds, falling nose to nose after the shot, and the third one shot at 52 yds while she was looking at my Yote Coyote decoy with a stuffed possum hanging from his teeth. Happy Tundra Wookie now officially named Kentucky Rifleman First Class for his accuracy and coolness under fire. This declaration verified by the head of the grand order of marsupial coyote hunters, none other than yours truly. I was sure happy for a super nice guy to not only get a triple but to perform so well when the time to act came to be. Here are a couple of pictures of his nice triple.

Here is a summary of Tundra Wookie's visit to Possumville, Ky. I was sick as hell but showed him as good a time as I could with my health and the weather deteriorating at the same time. He is one really great guy, and my entire family enjoyed having him visit. He is a hard hunter, and a very easy friend to get along with in the field or at home. I only wish my health and the weather had cooperated a bit better so I could have showed him how good our coyote hunting can be.
Oh well, he accomplished a lot in 6 days, including getting promoted to the esteemed position of Kaintucky Rifle Man, and got his first triple ever. Here is a summary of pictures covering the success we had:
After much planning, Snowcamoman was finally able to arrange a trip to Possumville, Ky. to put in some time with old Possumal in pursuit of none other than Wiley Coyote. As his arrival time came closer, the weather looked better and better for hunting, but turned way too warm for my tastes by this past Friday, his last day to visit. Still, we had a great time overall, and Snow was able to accomplish some nice kills, including his first triple ever, three bonded females from last year's pups, weighing 31 lbs,, 32 lbs , and 33 lbs. Next day he shot a 42 lb. male that needed to go to the taxidermist, IMO, after a picture perfect setup and response.
Tundra Wookie is one of the best guys I have ever had the privilege of being around, and we all should be thankful for all the real helpful research he does on the various ecallers and other equipment, in weather that would make most of us head for the house. My entire family, including great grandsons, enjoyed having him around. I only wish my health would have been better and the weather would have stayed favorable so I could have really showed him some of our hunting at its best. Here are some pictures I hope you all enjoy

That coyote deke holding the 'possum by the tail cracks me up. Good to see that someone else knows that you can hunt hard and still have 'fun'.
A triple....... back there........ that's awesome!!!!

I just wanted to thank the Possum for taking a northern guy out and showing him how it's done in a different part of the world. I had a fantastic time and learned a bunch of new tricks for fooling coyotes. Possum Al is one heck of a great guy and knows coyote behavior on a level I'll strive to one day achieve. We'd show up to a stand and Al would tell me where to sit and where the coyotes would come from. To a tee, he couldn't have been more than 5 yards off from where those coyotes would come running too, it was amazing. I honestly think he had some caged up and could release them with that FoxPro remote. I was really impressed at how hard hunting Al was, considering he was running on about zero hours of sleep and just recovering from surgery. Al's wife and family were great and I had a fantastic time on the journey. I'll get my photos loaded onto the photobucket site soon and post some to show the beautiful country the Possum has to hunt in. Thanks again Al for a wonderful time, I even got rid of my lunar tan with that hot, sunny weather we had down there.

Peter, you know you were more than welcome. I hope you can come back sometime when the weather is better for hunting those hairy rascals. It won't hurt if I'm not saddled by health problems. All in all, I'd say we were blessed to do as well as we did with the weather warming every day. I know that bright sunshine was knocking me for a loop at times. It is heading back to more favorable conditions now, so I have to get completely over the sinusitis/allergy thing.
I hope you knock 'em dead up in Tundra land.

Sounds and looks like you fellas had a great time!
I'm in the middle of Illinois if you're ever driving back this way give me a holler, always welcome. Not as many coyotes here, though...
