Went out callin saturday with curtis,my
son-in law. We arrived at our set-up and I put out the call and decoy, got back to the stand and the freakin remote wouldn't work. I had just put a new battery in. So, I started using the mouth call. After about 15 min. had 2 come in around 100yds. off. I settled my crosshairs on the chest of back one and pulled the trigger only to hear Snap! Luckily curtis was ready and took the first one before they kicked in the afterburners. He was so excited I thought he was gonna have to have a cigarett and towell! We started back to the truck and I was packin' the yote on what seemed to be a level snow covered field , when all of a sudden I went shoulder deep in a small hole that seemed only big enough to hold me. When we made it back to the truck,we met the land owner comming to feed his cows;curtis told him about me fallin' in the hole. I swear they both were laughin' their fool heads off. He said it was the only hole on the farm. Figures!! All in all it was a fun day. We called all day but,with no more luck. Oh, it turns out the only thing wrong with the remote was I'd gotten a bad battery and the only thing wrong with the gun was a bad primer in the round. Curtis has told that story to everyone he knows I think! He still laughs as much as when he told it the first time. Guess it just made his first yote that much more memoriable.
