Man I had a good day today. I had about two and a half hours to hunt. Called in this coyote and on the next stand I called in this bobcat. I've been letting the bobcats go lately. Kind of a catch and release thing. LOL But this one just tempted me too much. Now if that wasn't enough I spotted what I thought was a dollar bill. When I picked it up, it turned out being a $100. bill !!! - [/IMG]

You'll be one of the few guys I know that'll make any money from fur hunting this year. LOL You're giving me the itch, now.

Fred.: Work has finally picked up here in Mn. been doing alot of big jobs, we just finished moveing 200,000 cubic yards of clay and sand and now i will be moveing to a bigger job where we have to get 400,000 cubic yards moved before freeze up. That one of the reason why i can't make the camp-out this year....I've also been busy with the coyotes here at home and been takeing my son to hunter safety classes..The farmers have started to take out the beans so in a week or two i willbe after the coyotes here..
Glad to hear the WT is working out well for you, remember to take youre time and get them all in.. [Wink]

Has anyone got any pics of the front of the new WT caller? I am curious about it also.

I have no dog in this fight.

Hell, I don't understand most of this tech speak. But I do expect a caller to produce sounds when I turn it on. Especially when I spend $400-500 for it, and I drive 1500 miles outwest to hunt coyotes. I've had a problem with that twice now. Once when I was luckey enough to spend a morning hunting with Vic.

Heck, my old WR Predation caller is still working and calls coyotes now and then when I take it out in the woods here.

Maybe someday, someone will come out with a caller that works from your cell phone or Nextel. Good grief, my nextel was working 1500 miles away in AZ.

For a $200 call, the WR works pretty dan good!

Oh hell, I posted that in the wrong thread... Some of them guys on that WT/Foxpro thread are all worked up.

BTW, I want to hunt with you Fred, finding 100 dollar bills and shooting cats and all that.

$600, WOW

That is cheaper than Andy's fee, and he wants me to bring beer, food, and pay the gas.

Just kidding, I made all that up.

Tell ya what Dan. Ill top Freds. For $600, I will GUARANTEE you will find a $100 bill, no may to it, and I will take you hunting on private land with a chance of calling a coyote, bobcat or fox.

Top that Fred. [Razz] [Big Grin]

Thats funny Fred. LOL

You know Pro Staffs are a crock of shit for the most part. I remember when it meant something. If you produced well, and Im talkin bass fishin now, at least around here, and you got along well with everyone, you could be a prostaff member for a boat company, or a rod or reel or bait, ect... company. They would either give you merchandise or discounts on merchandise to use their equipment and talk it up to help sell it. If you won a tournament, even if you didnt use XYZ bait, if they gave you baits and you had them on your shirt, thats what you said you caught em on when on stage.

Around here, all that changed about 1999. Dan probably knows of this guy. A car dealer in St Louis turned over some of his dealerships to his spoiled rotten son. His son added a Champion boat dealership in one of them. He liked to fish, and to promote sales, offered pro staff positions to anyone who bought a boat from him. In a matter of a couple years, half the field at any given tournament around here was sponsored by Champion Boats, Mercury Outboards, and a few others. Then, most of these hammerheads would buy patches at Bass Pro and sew them on their shirts to take up dead space. It got ridiculous. It made a mockery of the pro staff idea.

I think alot of that is filtering over into other sports. I look at FP website, for example, and it floors me how some of these guys can be considered pro staff.

But........ you mean,........ it's NOT spelled 'Pampas'????? Say it isn't soooooooooooo..........!!!!

My whole theory of calling was based on that.

Funny his name comes up. He, along with redfrog, berry and a few others, seem absent from the house over there lately?
I did see a post the other day from GG, it was titled "My first attempt at mounting a bobcat".......ahhhh, the vision that thread topic conjured up, what a dink.

His 'first' attempt??? How many times has he tried to mount a bobcat??? Is this something that he does in private or one of those "Hey guys, watch this" moments???? Maybe he does seminars????

I've heard another version of that expression: Sticking a wet noodle up a wildcat's ass. Bring your lunch!

Good hunting. LB

PS what a mental picture! There's Glenn, all set for some serious action, got his shades, got his 'doo rag, and a first aid kit.

Chili, you still cruising PMS? How's Barry doing?
