I was over at my mom and dad's packing stuff for the sale. Ran across this record. I can remember playing it for hours and how my mom could stand it, I will never know. It is basically how I learned to call some 38 years ago.

Got the record along with their long and short range call. Still have both the calls if I could find them.

you should frame it an put it in your office Randy.

I know dad still has a few of the old JS 45's.
Somewhere. Maybe under some Boots Randolph that mom used to like.

He had the Mountain Lion screams on one of them. I used to scare my younger brother with it.

Neat idea to frame those old records. I have that same one plus the Burnham Bros Coon Calling and the one that drove my mom nuts; Calling Fox, Wolves & Cats with the Weems Wild Call. Got that one along with the call at a Wally Taber Sports Show a couple of lifetimes ago. More stuff to hang on the wall for my wife to disaprove of.

Randy, see if you can record it and download it on to your ecaller and kill a coyote for old times sake.

Then frame it along with a pic of the critter, retire it with style!!

Cool find, Randy. I'd never let it out of the house. Going through the folks' stuff is an emotional experience. We spent an entire day going through dad's "stuff", finding a lot of things that we never knew he'd kept. Baseballs from our little league team come to mind, when dad was our coach, and all of us 10 and 11 year olds had signed it with our "autographs". Pictures cut out of newspapers where one of us kids was noted for having done somthing. Dad might not have said much at the time, but the fact that he kept it for thirty years was enough proof to us that it was important to him.

Sadly, you never know some things about your parents until after they're gone and you're clearing out their belongings in preparation for "the sale".

HEY! I've got one just like that, it came with a big ol' monster speaker and about a mile of cable attached. I bought it on ebay right around the time I found the hunting boards.
