A lot of chatter about Foxpro's revolutionary mister with remote capabilities.
Chew on this for a while, those of you that accept the concept, without bullshit comments like;
"you can't foola coyotes nose, shoot 'em before they get downwind, etc."
A remote operated mister is a BAD IDEA in a lot of areas because the coyote will line up downwind of the mist and if you aren't on the same line, you could easily be blocked out by terrain or brush.
What you want with mist is the coyote downwind of the hunter, looking right at you.
The whole concept of remote misting proves that whoever thought it up doesn't understand the concept, and they apparently never will so I won't waste any breath 'splainin it for the thousanth time.
This "Mister" is something designed by a marketing genius who has a lot of gaps in his comprehension of the whole theory.
It is easy to use on stand, even a caveman can do it, but apparently not very many "pro staff" types understand misting and prefer speculation. Con was the group think last week and stay tuned for the revised pronouncements that may be forthcoming soon.
(Good for a laugh) LB
PS, also, bear in mind, misting is most useful hunting at night, or filming video during daylight hours. Just print this out and refer to it occasionally. It will/might keep halfwits from saying something stupid.

Leonard, I can't resist. You're absolutely right. People don't even understand the concept of misting. And even more people say it doesn't work when they haven't even tried it. It's obvious 98% of the country is confused, misinformed and mislead. Now they have a misting machine, oh boy! Does it sit high up in the air to carry the scent downwind or does it sit on the ground so a coyote can come up and take a leak on it? Hope you guys have a good year hunting, I'll be watchin.

Curious? Everything concerning the announcement of the Mr Mister has been deleted to protect the advertizer. That's just a guess? But, boy they sure get their money's worth! The PMS prostaff is doing all it can to control negative comments. WHORES!
Anybody ever wonder why I accept no banner ads? I will tell you. It's because they own you!
Good hunting. LB

Ok.........Thinking out loud here; The main advantage of an electro-caller is to get the sound away from the shooter's movement & scent. In some cases, sometimes fairly far away. An experienced caller can set up with ground cover, lines of sight, wind direction & expected direction of approach all considered.
Now......... With the mist located with the sound, away from the shooter(s), it would seem to me that there would be a seprate human scent stream coming from the shooter(s). This adds another variable to consider; either continue to carry a scent bottle in the call bag or take a chance on a coyote coming in from the 'wrong' place & crossing the unmisted human scent stream.
On the other hand; Bear callers w/anise are probably gonna have an orgasm over this thing.

Yeah, a separate human scent "stream" if you are misting remotely from the ecaller. Depends on where the animal is and where the wind direction as to whether he will cross the human scent before the mister? In either case, there is no advantage if vegetation is blocking a line of sight between the mister and the downwind animal.
On the other hand, a useless product could be an advantage in the case of a bear. I have to give you extra credit for that.
