Formerly pony tailed, freakin' liberal, back stabbing and too clever by half, yet GZ has an excellent article on shotgun coyotes that I just happened to stumble across, all by myself, not even a heads up.

See it here: http://predatormonster.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=430 (long)

I find very little to quibble with; possibly the continuous sound versus pauses, but in his application, I think he's right. He has gotten a lot smarter since I've known him; and that's a big concession from yours truly.

Nothing revolutionary or even new, however, it's very good information, presented concisely with especially useful tips for the dedicated hunter. I recommend that you study and absorb all of it, then apply it.

Good hunting. LB

Who is this GZ?? I'm guessing that he wasn't at the last camp-out??

Be that as it may, very good information on a different 'style' of predator hunting than many people use.

Re; Continuous calling versus pauses: It's been my experience, in the terrain I hunt, that "generally", continuous calling with an 'excited' sound will bring in continuously moving, excited coyotes and calling with pauses, useing a more methodical sound will "generally" bring in a slower, more methodical stop & go approach. Your milage may vary....

Gary has attended a couple campouts, but not the most recent.

Good hunting. LB

That link was a good read at yet another Predator hunting site that I didn't know existed. I honestly believe there are more predator hunting web sites than there are coyotes.
Thanks
