P.S... Forgot to add - could have had one or two more like that, if I was one to pluck black hairs...

Yeah, Dave. You got yourself a typical white tail. The problem with Brent's proposal is that this trait is becoming all too common, and not just in the southwest.
The problem could be one of awareness? A hunter might have killed several white tails before he notices the difference. This is the impression I get and why Brent believes these coyotes to be unique enough to be worth twice what a "normal" coyote is worth? It is amazing what you find when you are looking for something.
The question might never be answered with certainty, but I have always been a little curious as to why these white tails have gone from rare, and extremely regional, to (quite frankly) relatively common throughout the western U.S.
Good hunting. LB

Just got back from a weekend hunt with Q in the panhandle and the first coyote I called, he shot. Had a white tip just like the picture above. Fifteen minutes later, I had a big male come in on my side and I had to smoke it with the old .17HMR (Only gun I could use Sunday) and damned if it didn't have four white feet!!! Go figger!

So would 4 white feet be worth 8 points??
I took a 36 pound male today that had black markings on the front legs. I see a few of those every year. What do I win???
