I finally got a coyote to stand still long enough for my son to shoot. It was about a 100 yard shot. He was pretty happy...

Great shot! 100 yards is a long poke, when you are aiming at your first coyote! ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Yes, that's a worthy accomplishment, he deserves to be proud.
Just think, pretty soon he will be helping you out of the truck and carrying all your gear for the "old man". lol
Good hunting. LB

Good job, buddy. I wish you were closer. I'd make you a good deal on a shoulder mount.

He's 15 and turning out to be a pretty good marksman..
Yeah Leonard, we have a deal: I take him hunting every chance I get when he is a kid and he takes me when I am old....
Thanks. [ November 15, 2008, 07:18 PM: Message edited by: Lungbuster ]

Like the little Wallace dude on the Geico commercial, a good caption would read.....
Story ends with me putting that coyote "in the wall".
Nice picture!

Lungbuster,
Too cool!!! Congrats to your boy!! My boy Jacob, Aubree, and their Mama got their Hunter's Saftey cards this Saturday. Last weekend, I called a couple of coyotes from a super long ways off and baaad daaad never enven saw them. Jacob just kept whispering, "See them running dad, can you see them, they're running in real fast." I never did see them.
Now Jacob can just shoot 'em himself when the old man is too blind to spot.
I was hoping to take him out to shoot his first coyote this weekend but we are planning a family pheasant hunt Thursday - Sunday after Thanksgiving so everyone gets to try out their new hunting licences!!!
Wonderful picture man!!! ![[Smile]](smile.gif)
