This weekend, saw 20 gauge and me kicking around southern Arizona trying to kill something other than time. The coyotes were hard to come by, probably more interested in breeding than answering a call, but we managed to take a few. This evening, on the last stand of the day, last stand of the visit, good fortune struck, 20 gauge dumped this nice tom, which weighed exactly 20.4 pounds....great evening, and capped a wonderful visit!

Thanks for that, Vic. I wondered if he really hunted or not. Just kidding. He's a handsome, distinguished looking gentleman. Good shooting, 20.
What the heck is he using? Could be a lever, maybe a Browning?
Hey, did he sleep in MY bed?
Good hunting. LB

Good job there 20. That is something I aim to do before I expire.

Lighten it up a little, and he looks like he could be Tata's little brother!

Yes Leonard, he did sleep in YOUR bed, I advised him it was still the same linen you used on your visit. The rifle he used to take the cat with, was his Ruger #3 carbine, chambered in .223. He also took a nice little female coyote, using his T/C carbine, chambered in .223. Calling was tough this weekend, they just were not responding, but we saw some good country, had some good chow and good times.

Vic, same around the rest of the state. We had our annual Handgun hunt this weekend, only 10 teams signed up and only two teams turned in anything at check in. One coyote each. Just a sliver of a moon but a high pressure front moved in on Fri.
