I went out today just messing around and finished up on some loose ends. Finally got a good hunting load worked up for the 17 Pred. and wanted to double check the vel. and see how the bullets grouped at a little longer distance. I ran loads through Chrono and was getting 3900 fps with 25 degree temp.'s. i set up target at 325 yds and dialed in bullet drop and fired 10 rounds into target. Good enough for now. I saw some coon tracks comeing through the yard by a vacant grove so i figured they where starting to move around abit so i got my Big country out and went into grove to see if i could call a coon up. Saw some tracks comeing and going from a large brush pile so i set the caller about 15 yds back from brush pile and started to call with some coon babies distress. At the 2 min. mark here comes a coon out of brush pile. I let the coon have a 17 HMR pill and it was sleeping in no-time...LOL http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f208/TA17Rem/IMG_1401.jpg[/IMG]] http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f208/TA17Rem/IMG_1393.jpg[/IMG]]

That is one mean looking coyote. Darker than Criner's even.

How much does a target like that cost? Is it one of those "if you have to ask you can't afford it" things?
Accuracy of scale, meaning life sized?

You get 10 targets for 9.99. The size of the coyote is 14" long and 8" tall, which is about the size of kill area on a live Mn. coyoteo.I use them at longer ranges for practice, they make it easey to see youre hits and give good reference points for aiming....T.A.

Just curious T.A., did you shoot that group from a bench, shooting stix, off hand, off the pick-up window?
I like that target!

TRnCO: That group was shot off the bench. Buy the way the practice paid off, i got a coyote today between 350-399 yds, shooting from sitting position with elbows locked on knees. Best part though was i had four guys witness it and they still can't believe i made the shot with a 17 cal..LOL
