Hello everyone. I live in northern L.P.of Micigan. Are coyotes of this color common in other parts of the country? [IMG] - [/IMG] [IMG] - [/IMG]

John: I had two that i got last year that where very simular in color. I sent both in to be tanned and when i got them back most of the yellow was gone. The fur must be stained from what ever it is that they sleep on and gets that shade of yellow. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f208/TA17Rem/coyotes2005002.jpg[/IMG]] -

I've killed one in Kansas that I would have classified as a cinnamon. She wasn't narly as pale as those in you guys' pics, but where the guard hairs would normally have a black bar and a black tip, hers were red. I wish I'd have had her tanned, too.

Those are some real nice lookin' coyotes, JLK. The one in the first pic looks huge. I have not seen that coloration in any of the coyotes I have called in from SE MI. Most all of the coyotes I call in have a similar coloring to the one in the HM logo sans the silver tint. What part of the northern lower are you from?
