Just finished this years hunting and cleaned my gun and put it away. Our season here is closed from April 1 until the end of turkey season. T Thought I'd post my results for you folks.
Sept. 17 N.S. Farm-Large male. Dusk. Rabbit squeal. 7 minutes. Est. 3yo.
Oct. 1 N.S. Farm-Daylight. Fawn bleat. 9 minutes. Est. 27 lb male. 2yo. Slight mange. Coble farm-fawn bleat. Nice male. 2yo. 10 minutes. Hopper place- Fawn bleat 2x-2 howls-yip howl-challenge howl. 30 minutes. 38 lb male 3-4yo. Slight mange under flanks.
Oct 8-CC Ranch Daybreak. JS PC3-cottontail. 4 minutes. 20 lb female-juvenile.
Oct. 22 N.S. Farm- JS-PC3. 5 minutes. 36 lb. male 3yo.
Oct. 29 Peterson Ranch-daybreak.JS-PC3. Called in 2 and took one.
Nov. 5-CC Ranch-Daybreak. Fawn bleat. 1 1/2 minutes. 33 lb. male 2-3yo. Stomach contents-deer meat and persimmons.
Nov. 26-Behind Swopes-JS-PC1-deer bleat10 min., moved 125 yds. and saw a pair coming in and took a 23 lb. female. Late evening. Stomach empty.
Dec. 6-Cox farm- JS-PC3-10 minutes. 29 lb female. Late evening. Stomach empty.
Dec 23.- Swopes-Howls only-40 min.-called 2 and shot the smallest one that came in behind a larger one. 36 lb. male-3-4yo. Stomach empty. One in front must hav been 40 lb. or larger. Top fangs protruded below bottom edge of top lips.
Jan. 7- S.S farm.-Daybreak- howling-45 minutes-lip squeaked to 70 yds. 28 lb female. Couple mice in stomach. 20 lb male bobcat taken at hopper place-not called, sneaked up on. Hicks farm-30 lb female taken caught mousing just as I sat down-noon-stomach empty-2-3yo
Jan 30-Rb farm-daybreak-foxpro rabbit dist.1,-10 min-34 lb male-2yo-36 yds.
Feb 2-Crawford place-daybreak-foxpro jackrabbit squall-15 min-31 lb female in heat-2-3yo-130yds.
Feb 17-RB farm-dusk-howls and jackrabbit-pair called in-31 lb female-3-4yo-140yds circling downwind.
Feb 26-RR farm-daybreak-howls and flicker distress on foxpro-27lb male-Juvenile-154 yds. Meltons-dusk foxpro-howls,jack,kiyi-45 min.-254yds-very cautious-28lb female.
Mar 25-CS Ranch-8:00 am-tweety-10 min-31lb male-2yo-stomach contents...bre'r rabbit. Pale colored.
Well that's it guys. My goal was 20 for the season and I fell one short of that. As you can see after the first few I started carrying scales and weighing them. Just thought it would be interesting. Also as you can tell by my shot range, they were getting alot cagier toward the end of the season.

Interesting data. Did you keep any records on number of stands, or only successful stands?

Leonard, I did not keep record of the number of stands. However, for the last half of September and all of October I do know that I called one coyote in for every four stands made. After that I lost track. Once I went for nearly a month and did not call one in. Just as everyone always says, "give me the month of October". The dispersal around her is then and it is great calling. Todd.
