how many of you guys use shotguns with rifles at call stands. seems like if I take a rifle I always wish I had a shotgun and vice versa.Often take both.

It depends on where I am and the type of cover I'm hunting. I agree that a shotgun comes in handy, once in a while. But, I never cared for combo guns.

I never have carried both to a stand. However, the fella I first started calling with, and still do some, had an effective system. One of us would carry a rifle and the other a 12ga with #4 Buck.
Rifleman could take out the ones that offered a shot and the shotgunner could get the ones that flashed by the call. Worked out great.
