Went out spottin, this a.m around 0730. Drove 12 miles. Seen one [young]coyote 70yrds out[no permission] ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif)
. He sat down & just looked at me. [Free pass for him].
Spotted a pack of 4, 1/2 mile out. Drove into the section on the down-wind side. Met one, in a picked corn 130yrds out. He kicked on the burners. I connected/rolled him 150yrds out, as he flew through a barbed fence. He landed on his feet, I was still dumping rds on him. Lost him over a hill.
Spotted two more single walkers. Cranked 5rds off on one 350yrds out. Turned him once, as he was flying broadside. Couldn't connect.
The other walker, Just watched for awhile. As he was milling around amongst some cows.

I must of hit him, upside the rump. Knocked his butt up past his face, he rolled. I was shootin 50gr BT rds.
I'm startin to 2nd guess the .223, for keeping them on the ground. Adrenalin, keeps'em going @ times...thats for sure.
The 95gr Ballistic Tip .243WSSM, will make a difference on taggin coyotes.
Upper, should come in any day now .

10mph SowWester wind today, occasional sleet. Coyotes laying tight. None spotted.
Should see some tomarrow, Sunny 5mph West wind.
