LOL, here is part of the story. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i would tell you more of the story buti would have to write a book. let me relate one incident though. a set up was made in a old gravel pit, we had run a fox out of the year before. after placed the call in a position to where it could be seen and give good shooting lanes. the foxpro caller was turned on, at this point i made a move to reset my stop watch. it may have taken me 5-6 seconds to reset the watch. when i looked up there were two foxes running around the foxpro. the larger of the two must have gotten a snoot full of my scent. he blazed a quick exit to my right, no way to get a shot,i was caught totally flat footed. finally, when my commom sence returned a quick lip squeaked drew the remaining foxes attention. the fox was behind a rather large russian thistle (tumbleweed). with the second squeak it exited to see who was blowing kisses its way, big mistake. the 17 viper cracked and the fox ran over the hill. i just sat there bewildered, thinking it was a clean miss. just as quickly the fox reappeared on top of the knoll. it beat a hasty retreat back over the knoll and headed northwest across the open prairie. the last sign of the fox was him crossed the highway about 175 yards away. a closer inspection of the knoll revealed a solid red blood trail leading to the lifeless body of the fox. yip there were three foxes in the small gravel yard and 2 got away,it left me bewildered and heart broken

Yeah, the pics are of gray fox, which look a little like a kit fox, but the tail is twice as long.
Good hunting. LB
