Well guys I am short timer now. On the day after tomorrow I will be on my way to Africa and will not be back until June. Originally I wanted to stay 3 months but I have screwed off WAY too much this year to be able to afford that kind of time.

In September I went on a 12-day moose hunt in AK and then worked for two or three weeks until Rich came up to hunt with me. From that time until March I did a few little jobs here and there but hunted coyotes for the most part. About the time my fur was put up and ready to go I was off again to AZ to ride with Jay down to Silver City for the expo. From there I slipped in a couple more odd jobs and then took the girlfriend on an 8-day cruse down to Mexico, Honduras and Colombia.

I know I am a bum. It is a good thing I haven’t hit the lottery yet. I would be completely worthless. LOL Anyway, when I get back I had better face reality and get some work done if I want to hunt coyotes next winter. God forbid if I have to get a real job. LOL

This year has been good to me. I got to hunt 4 states and have touched foot in two others and 3 countries for the first time. You guys may have to wire me a little money to get back on but I’ll make it some how. LOL

Good hunting and wish me luck!

Q,

Well, Q, you rat bastard. Have a good time and be careful. I expect some good notes when you get back and, hopefully, we can parlay this little jaunt into a good ol' fashioned Ruark-type readin' adventure for everyone to enjoy. Maybe get some leopard gashes down the length of your back? Some outback, homegrown stitch work? Something to add some color.

Don't you worry about me. I'll be here getting green with envy and practicing with this new rifle as I get ready for our next hunt in November.

And also, enjoy it now. Before you know it, Broadwater will be overrun with q's (get it? little Q's? [Smile] [Smile] [Smile] ) and you'll be flat-ass broke like me!

Good luck, Quinton.

I'm green with envy, but happy for you, all the same.

Good hunting. LB

Quinton,

Tell your Girlfriend that you need to have some kids. Twins preferably. If I can handle two sets of them, you can at least stay home and raise one!

Thanks guys, I am sure I will enjoy my self. I will take a lot of pictures and keep a daily journal. May even post a few stories when I get back. LOL Like Steve says, you need to saver it all. The past is history and you only have one shot at your future so I had better hurry up and live it before it’s too late. Like they say, “Better to burn out than to fade away.” LOL

Good hunting.

You'll always be able to say you rang the bell buddy...youth is fleeting. Be safe.

You right Q. I think about a line Neil Young had in a song "Rust never sleeps". Go for the Gold man. I wrecked this body with no regrets. Would do it all again.
