Tyler, Robb and I competed in the last club hunt of the season this past weekend. Took first place again which set Tyler and Robb in a tie for the "Best of Seven" annual trophy. One of the most memorable stands of the season occurred Saturday when Robb called a coyote which trotted into Tyler's downwind and swapped ends at about 30 yards and peeled out. I picked it up in my scope and was just stroking the trigger, full body of the coyote in my scope, when Tyler fired a 55 gr. ballistic tip at 4175 fps from my 22-250 AI and hit the coyote at the root of it's tail. In my three power view of the event I saw the awesome shock wave ripple all the way to the coyotes face. It looked like one of those crash-test dummies in reverse.

Congrats Rich, Tyler, and Robb. Hope you guys had a great time in Silver City. I sure hated to miss it but with an exposed roof I figured I had more important things to tend to.
By the way, what'd your buddy hunt get up to? You're fast becoming a legend in your own time. I've been practicing with that there "sexual device" and I'm startin to get the hang of it.
I knew there was a reason I hadn't talked to that guy in six years.

Great Job Guys!!! It sure is nice to set here on the east coast and still be able to share in your hunts and meetings. Thank you for bringing it to my home! Here's to next year guys!

Sheri, That "sexual device" comment was just a little inside joke. By the way congrats to you also on your PA hunt. I know a couple of guys that are still trying to get number one in them parts. It ain't easy.

Well, knowing the Higgins clan... and adding my native instincts into the picture here for a moment... They are tricksters in the highest form! I'd even wager to say, they are part coyote themselves with all the shananigins they play!
Thank you Tony... Easy usually doesn't fall in the vocabulary anywhere when it comes to hunting coyotes back here, but for some reason, this time was different and I know exactly why ![[Wink]](wink.gif)
