Welcome Richard. I hope you continue to post here. The contest sounds like fun. If PUP and Onus sign up they will probably take your money home.

I hope they do sign up, as well as many others. I got lot's of local intrest around here. If I can get enough people signed up I'll probably raffle a rifle off too. Should be a good turn out. [ January 20, 2004, 12:49 PM: Message edited by: RAEmmons ]

Richard,
How many teams are you expecting? I live in Edmond but have family in Wapanucka and Bromide. I'm definitely going to try to get a team together. Thanks for the post.

RAEmmons, I'm sure thinking about coming to your hunt, but I would have to leave about 3:00 in the morning to get there in time to check out at 5:15 am. Then I would probably end up sleeping on stand all day. I don't know anyone with land in that area, so I would have to hunt the Atoka WMA, and it will probably be hunted hard. Are there any farmers or ranchers in the area that would allow someone to hunt for the day? Thanks, Alan

Alan there are lots of farmers and ranches between atoka and antlers and durant and hugo that are desperate to get rid of coyotes. I had a rancher call me from Boswell and invited me to use is place for the contest. If I were you I would make some visits in that country and see if you can land some ranches. That's what I'm going to do. Also you could hunt Honobia & Three rivers WMA (750,000 acres. Hope you can make it!
