Topic: Calling coyotes in Va.

Is there any difference in calling coyotes in Va.and out west. I have been using 2 yips and a long howl. Haven't had any luck getting a answer.Beeman

As the old saying goes........A coyote is a coyote.....I don't think there is a difference east or west, north or south. You guys back east just don't have as many coyotes to pick from as we do out west, you just have to try harder. I just started howling last year so I can't tell you much about it. We have many guys in this forum that do howl and I'm sure they can help, Good Luck and Good Hunting.

Beeman are you hunting thick timber?If so you may be backdoored.Most of the time coyotes will not answer my howls but they will come to the howler.
