I did what you said and taped bubble wrap to my feet to muffle my footsteps going out to my stand, but still didn't see anything. But you were right, the popping noise did muffle the sound of my footsteps. I could hardly hear the gravel beneath my feet.
On a serious note, I enjoyed watching/listening to you work. Thanks for taking the time to drive out to BFE.

You forgot to tie the tin cans to the bumper, Matt. Everybody sneaks in. You've got to confuse and baffle them. You were great company and I really appreciate that wonderful barbeque. Thank you, Matt.

Rich,,
You might not be too far from the truth on that last post. I feel sometimes you have to do things that everbody else isn't, in order to shoot coyotes. Call soft? I'll let them have it. Concealment? I'll sit in a 160 acre bean stubble field. Hunt early or late? I'll hunt mid-day. Sceery or Cronk howler? I'll use a Song Dog. Call from the truck? I'll walk in 400 yds. The list keeps going and going. Dare to be different!

Guy's, You should really try walking backwards to your calling site. This way the coyotes think that you just left.
-------------------- If you call the coyotes in close, you won't NEED a high dollar range finder.
