here is the story behind the pic . went out yesterday with deke my decoy coyote and my Tom danbrook howler . i had called three stands with no takers ( breeding season sucks) . I started the set with a nice long lone howl . waited 5 minutes or so , and started a rabbit dist on the pee wee . I saw two heads pop up on a ridge a ways out , so i let loose with another howl . they started coming , the male came in a lil closer then the female and started a challenge , i sat still and quiet , i just got this decoy coyote and this was the first coyote to come in and see it , so i watched for a few minutes . the male would come a little then move back all along challenging and screaming . the female just sat ther . this went on for about 5 minutes and i didnt want them to leave, so i put a round in his chest . he spun and started running away , he made it about 10 yrds and went head over a-- / he was dead when the bullet hit him , he just didnt know it . LOL. would have watched alot longer , but i was on one of my cattle ranches that i call , and they want them gone . it was exciting to see the reaction to the decoy . Jerry . [Big Grin]

That is a good looking decoy. How heavy is it to carry around? You need to get the video camera out there with you.

Any ways good hunting.

Welcome to the New Huntmasters, Donna.

We had a nice visit and a great lunch, and everybody wanted to hear all about it when we got back to my daughter's place. The return trip was almost a pleasure. I guess the price of gas made evrybody stay home?

If you want to post a link, be my guest.

Good hunting. LB

Hello everyone,

20t-n-t,

I have hunted Mr. Widely, Mrs. Bugges, and Uncle Bam bee. My first and most favorite rifle is a used Winchester M670 in .30-06, one of my babies is my Ivor Johnson's Universal M1 Carbine in .30 caliber and a matching caliber single six Ruger BlackHwak in .30 M1 caliber. I am also a big fan of the .45's, I have had or still have .45 ACP Colt, .45 LC BlackHwak, an M1 carbine converted to .45 Win. Mag., and a Marlin 1895SS .45-70. I am looking forward to making a custom .243 Ackley Improved w/ a tight neck and minimum chamber diminutions bolt action for 1,000 yard bench ***t shooting and a real 10mm on a .45 ACP frame, vice one of those 10 mm wonabee's the 40 S&W. Hopefully I can get out and shoot Mr. Bear, Miss Cougar, and Bobcat Jr. along with Mr. Widely's relatives.

I worked in the electronic industry on mainframe computers for 17 years and as a professional ***ort scuba diver as a Divemaster and Instructor teaching Naui for 10 years. Now, I am playing in ballistic as a Ballistician making my own web site called www.AeroBallisticsOnLine.com and my own company called LattieStone Ballistics, it is a ballistic ***earch laboratory. I am also a custom bulletsmith, designing exotic specialty primium bullets for various purposes. I use a technique called swaging to form my bullets not casting. Swaging is the application of high p***sure to make metals flow at room temperature instead of heat to melt the metal to make it flow.

Donna [Smile]

P.S. Some of my letters seem to be converted into "*", asterisks, I am really not swearing. [Confused]
