I dunno much about scat, particularly bobcat.
I've seen plenty of coyote poop. Applesauce kind, horse manure kind, the really runny calf poo kind, and the kinds I hate the most...
The pheasant feathers and deer fur kind!
Why do coyotes always go in the road? So far on all the trails I have walked I have never seen it on or near a trail... only right in the middle of a dirt road, or railroad track.
But where do cats go? Do they bury it?
The first bobcat Red and I called in was 65' from a road, right next to the trail where elk hunters had been walking by off and on all week. So I know he must've been near the road himself.
Are the bobs doin' it in the road too? How do I find/tell if it's bobcat sign., or coyote?
Let's seriously talk some ****!

Most cat litter boxes I've found have been set just off a trail, 5 to 15 feet and along rocky ridge faces. They look and smell like litter boxes. Coyotes are going for visibility as markers.

Thanks Catskin,
That is a cool site, I learned (and am learning) a lot there.
I think I know a crag, where I've climbed, that has one of those "litter boxes". I'll have to look for them now.
I guess cat season closes for us next week so we can spend a lot more time just lookin' and learnin' and not stopping to make so many stands.
We may just end up driving over the hill to shoot soon anyhoo
