I asked you a couple of questions that you haven't responded to.
You made mention that you haven't used the rabbit distress in over ten years, and that you use other distress sounds.
What distress calls do you use?
I am asking for the one that you use most and the one that you use if that one doesn't seem to be as attractive as you would like. Is this the one that you use on those Old educated coyotes. And any others that you like to use and will share with me. I also wanted to ask if you prefer open or closed reed calls. And which manufacture of call that is your main call.I am also interested in the sequence of the set. What howl do you start with, and how do you vary your distress during your series. Do you use the two lungs full for amount of time on distress series and how long do you vary your pauses. And by pause I mean the quiet time that you are scanning the area between distress calls.
I will give up some first. I mainly use the Tally-ho. I also use the Sceery Ap-6. I have a closed reed circe, which I have changed out the reed in and replaced it with one that my granddaddy had bought in bulk. I use the circe in conjunction with a small enclosed voice squeaker. The small voice squeaker, I have exchanged out with a custom squeaker that I got off of Kevin Lukens.
These are always close by, with the first two around my neck. I used to use the reed type howlers, but I have switched to the band type.
I was going to ask what you thought about the consistent calling, but I read your post on that and I agree with you at least in my area anyway.
When I lived in Texas, and I was first getting started I used an E-caller some and I would turn it way down for the close range and I would call over it with the mouth calls. I did have some success with this. I have not used the E-caller in years.
Now if this information is too personal for you to give out over the board, then perhaps you could tell me e-mail or on the phone. I understand from reading on the board that you participate in contests. I have not been to a contest, but I do understand competition. Where you ignoring my questions, or do you wish to retract the statements on teaching and learning.

I think it's possible to do both. Free unfettered and total information is unrealistic.

There are concepts that run so deep that the mere mention can get bogged down in dispute. I have known for several years that Wiley uses voice howls, but this is the first time that I have seen him say so on a public forum.

Yeah I agree, you don't owe me anything. I never said that you did, but the response that you gave in another post does show your true colors, A person would have to read all three posts and look at the times of each post to follow our whole conversation. Yes, you are correct in that You don't owe me anything, just like you didn't owe me the blindsided, twisted ,ass chewing that you gave me over something that I didn't say in the first place. Then after we hashed it all out and I tell you what I exactly was trying to accomplish and you actually took the whole thought of what I was trying to do, and we had talked it down to a learnable level , you hollered one bit of advice,jumped on your high horse and left. ![[Confused]](confused.gif) AM I to take off running after you shouting "Come back, Shane". I offered to take it to a phone call or e-mail so as not to notify the world, and you quit me. I made the offer to you to come down and show me a thing or two and you took the courtesy and belittled me.
I am not going to beg for your response, I didn't ask for the run around on the first question and I definitely am not going to ask for more run around on another one, as it seems to be your teaching technique and to me that is not a learning environment. I do have an interest in the howling aspect of calling and I have made two trips in the last four months from Ok. to Az. this is not short and is not cheap. Yes , you do learn from humility. I am humiliated, by the fact that I have been fooled.
I guess that the old saying of "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me", has meaning here. So be it.
