(1) A wall is immoral.
(2) But a late term abortion is not.
and
(3) You can lose your job for something stupid that you may or may not have done 30 years ago.

I believe that the answer is to watch less news and drink more wine.

However, my Daddy always told me, never trust a wino. This girlfriend, who bitches that I count drinks, lives for 5 o'clock! Apparently, at that point, it is socially acceptable to drink wine? Boone's Farm is laughed at, BTW. But, Cabernet means you are one of the in crowd. Also, this other gf decided that noon was the time to pour scot's, or is it scotch whisky, neat. I'm not a teetotaler, I had some wine Thanksgiving and a Bud Lite Christmas Eve. lol

I really marvel at those that must have their alcohol. And, I don't think I'm judgmental because I am addicted to orange juice. I just bought six large bottles at Costco yesterday. I love it. So, I guess I understand?

My son likes his beer. His wife, what's her name, drinks wine from a box, and near as I can tell, is never without a glass of what they call Rose', I think? Oh, excuse me! I forgot! Neither of them drink right now, I am told? But, that's like those people that go on a diet, lose 20 pounds and then put it back on 2 months later. Seems like something's wrong when you have to swear off some substance or another? But, I will spare the Peanut Gallery.... enough philosophy for today.

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: her name is Page, and that should tell you something right there. (born in Mississippi)

I think you pretty much got it, Koko. Funny thing how farm folks get it and libs don't, and they call us simple.

As a trapper, I use sticks and "stuff" to steer critters through a specific point to up my chances of making a catch. At the same time, y'all ever notice how pasture gates are generally in the safest, most accessible part of the fence because it's easier to steer steers and such to and through those areas as opposed to just running them stampede-style all willy nilly and about.

Now, there is a lot of that border where you can't build a fence, or a wall for that matter. But, if you build a fence, wall, or "barrier" where you can as a way of steering illegals into several other safer, more friendly specific spots, the first thing that does is allows you to focus your personnel and resources in those spots - kinda working smarter, not harder. In places where you can't build that barrier, use drones, cameras, shoulder mounted RPG's and the like.

What's immoral is forcing all those mamas and kids to try and cross the border in really dangerous places. Hell, for some, it's so dangerous they end up leaving their Mexican prayer rugs behind.

A question I posed on that evil Facebook site asked why we have the Coast Guard to protect our maritime borders, yet the Border Patrol is just a notch above the Post Office as far as being the federal gubmint's red-headed, bastard stepchild? Why don't we militarize the Border Patrol to protect and defend our terrestrial borders? Is there any other country on this rock that willfully refuses to let their military defend and protect their sovereign border? Is this a Posse Commatatus thing? And, if so, isn't the fix simply a matter of amending the laws about deploying military forces on US soil?

Lance, I bet you are a direct descendant of a real sod buster? I assume folks know the condition in which those early settlers found the prairie? That’s right, they had to cut and saw through centuries of accumulated turf. In order to reach cultivable soil so they could like grow stuff. Then, I suppose you could stack that turf and make a shelter? I’m betting Lance can trace his ancestry back to some brave pioneers, some of which were rudely scalped. That’s pretty cool to know your actual heritage.

Boone's Farm is not wine ………… it's a fruit flavored solvent. Cabernet is just overpriced grape juice and vodka mixed together.
Now, a proper drink is Mead. Good enough for the Vikings. Good enough for the warriors in Valhalla and it's good enough for me.

I want to see the look on Pelosi's mug if President Trump were to announce tonight that if he can't build a wall he's just going to put in a minefield along the entire boarder.

[Eek!]

The only wine I drank for the first 30 years of my life came from a bottle with a screw top and read 'Riunite'. Never knew what a corkscrew was for, and if the wife and I ended up with a bottle with a cork, I went to the garage and beat the cork into the bottle with a hammer and a dowel...

Guess I am a knuckle dragging cretin!

I agree with you all on the abortion thing. Can you imagine a commercial along the lines of the ASPCA 'cold, wet dog' ads that were Pro Life showing dead babies in stainless steel buckets?

Oh, how they would howl! As a Catholic, I am a Knights of Columbus member, and I think I have mentioned in posts long ago that there is a video out there I have seen that is from an actual abortion procedure.

The little boy was around 16 weeks, and he is forcibly taken apart with huge forceps. They put the pieces on a stainless steel tray, and then 'reconstruct' everything to make sure nothing is left in the woman's womb. After that, they took him and put everything in a stainless steel bucket, not unlike what we used on the farm to milk cows.

I am no shrinking violet, but it made me want to puke.

Pretty sad when we value the lives of animals and sea turtles more than we do humans.

I like bourbon good old sour mash corn liquor And I drink when I please could be noon could be four in the morning don't much give a shit what anyone else thinks ! As for the border bashers I see liberals with the same eye that I see radicalized Islamists , just people that want to destroy my way of life they would not last long in my yard ! A country with out borders isn't much of a country !
And even out here I a have a fence and a gate that is closed unless I'm going somewhere . My thoughts on abortion anything after zygote is murder ! Start your birth control before its a baby !

You aren't far off, LB. My paternal grandfather was a farmer and horse trader in the early years. When we sold his and Gma's stuff at auction, we had a complete set of leather harnesses and traces from one of his teams of Belgian draft horses from back in "the day". Actually, my heritage is more about coyotes. Grandpa had a '34 panel truck/ car (whatever you call it), four door, with a bulkhead of 2X12's behind the front seat and the back seat doors cut off and new hinges welded to the bottom so they opened out like wings. They kept the sight hounds in the back and pushed coyotes out, got a race going, and dumped by pulling a cable and dropping those doors. As a wee lad, I spent a great deal of time playing with Grandpa's coyote dogs, riding them like horses. Big greyhounds, wolfhound crosses, and long-legged walker trailhounds. At least, until one of them took 2/3 of my uncles left ring finger off and mom put the kibosh to playing with the dogs. LOL

Hell, my dad was born on the farm. Gma went into labor while she and Grandpa were out shopping (duck hunting). Grandpa rushed to alert the midwife, dropped Grandma at home with her and he and the midwife's husband went back to hunting.

You might wanna poke fun at my sodbuster roots, but I wear that with pride. Took tough folks to make it out here.

I assure you, I wasn’t poking fun, in any sense!
