Just got a call; my 'card' has been charged $399.99 for computer services. To cancel, call …….. some number that they gave.
I'm guessing that they would then want my card number to cancel the charges. Probably need the pin # & my mother's maiden name, too.
Gotta love these losers.

One I have answered lately is: This is Microsoft member services. We have noticed activity on your computer, blah, blah, blah. That and the one where you must press the "windows key". They used to go nuts when I couldn't find it but catch on pretty fast lately, that I'm running a Mac. But, what they want is to trick you into giving them access to your computer via Team Viewer. At that point, I suppose they need your banking information for some reason? The next call will be from "Wells Fargo" to verify your correct password. Can you imagine, the teams working these scams, they must be profitable? I'm probably just a few years short of senile, (I think) so no worries until then. But, I'm guessing whatever damage they do is completely unrecoverable and untraceable?

Good hunting. El Bee

I read somewhere that the I.R.S. scam took in over $$ 1.5 million before it got shut down.
