I had a Datsun 1300. Loved it. My son has had several Frontier’s repossessed. He loves them.

Good hunting. El Bee 🐝

He must not love them enough to remind you to make the payments for him. [Eek!]

Can't say I do know much of anything about them. Have never been even around one much.

Couple guys make some of our off road trips drive highly modified Xterras. One of them is extremely modified, he has all Titan running gear underneath. He makes Xterra stuff though and his rig is a travelling billboard for his bumper business. He has a heckuva long wait list to get one of the bumpers he makes!

What I do think I know about the Frontier, is at least up until they stopped making the Xterra, that the Frontier was the same platform.

Haven't been around either of them much and never had any occasion to have to work on one, but they seem like pretty good little rigs.

Look ko ko, the way he sees it, it's a win/win situation. First, with his credit they offer him outrageous terms, like 6 years @ 26% interest. Then, after the payments become a burden, he stops insurance and the finance company slaps on single interest insurance and adds it to the payments, so before, he couldn't afford $500 a month and now, for sure he can't afford $700 a month so he doesn't make any more payments, saving a bunch of money since the repo people aren't dispatched for months and he's driving a free truck. In some cases way over a year goes by in which he's illegally driving without insurance but (hey) no out of pocket expenses, except gas. It's ingenious, in a way. And when they finally drive off with the vehicle, I am amazed every time some desperate dealership will give him a brand new Frontier for what must be zero down because he never has any money until payday. This is a lucrative cycle that gets repeated every couple years. Okay, never mind, I'm making it all up, he's legit nowadays. But, I guarantee, he didn't get his economic model from either of his parents. In fact, he proudly told me that he has recently cracked the 600 FICA barrier, although I don't see how it could be possible? There must be a flaw in that program? What can I say? (sigh) Now, he wants to buy a house....claims his wife is black. No, I'm making it up, no truth to this post, at all! Lies!

Good hunting. El Bee
