Does your state have a Tip Line? Here, in the People's Republik, any concerned neighbor, relative or any concerned citizen can contact your law enforcement offices and tell them that you look for your glasses when you are wearing them, and that's it buddy! Case closed! They will knock down your door with machine guns pointed at your kin and demand every firearm you own and manhandle them, toss them in the van and you will waste time and treasure in an attempt to regain your property. But since this is for your own good, as well as the whole community, this will be very difficult to do and you may as well kiss them good bye. So, next time you joke about looking for your glasses, your Liberal neighbors are paying attention!

This is how it is here, in the Land of the Fruits and the Nuts, and coming your way shortly. How's that new US Senator working out for ya? Won't be long!

Good hunting. El Bee

PS Don't worry, I'm just kidding. It won't ever happen in AZ. Will it?

Since they know that, they will probably just lob in the incendiaries they call tear gas and wait until you are golden & crispy. I'm starting to think that you cannot beat those self righteous bastards. As a joke, I always said to Nanc; they'll never take me alive! Don't forget, they view you a worse threat than your everyday 'Negro". You think they don't know about your arsenal? Your "sniper rifles"? Your "assault rifles" and "hand cannons"?

Good luck!

I'm mainly a 'pointed stick' guy, but wouldn't the correct phrase be "loaded & locked" ???
If something is locked how does one load it ???
Mayhap the speling police co0uld look into this matter.

ko ko, not to point out your glaring lack of military nomenclature, in addition to your pointed sticks preference, which is fine with me. But, "Locked and Loaded" is an extremely common military command or announcement you hear on the rifle range. You probably hear it 50 times a day. And, because it is very possible and preferable to lock it before you load it. In this instance, it means put the safety on, then load it. Take the so called Grease Gun, which has been phased out for a hundred years or so. It fired from an open bolt, and a man would be a little negligent to insert the magazine without making sure the action was locked first. Also, as I recall, the firing pin was non moving and sticking out from the face of the bolt. You have probably never seen anything like it?

This is why I subscribe to the Israeli philosophy that EVERYBODY is obligated for at least a minimal amount of military training. I've seen pictures of grade school teachers with her students, and a slung rifle. I don't think it would hurt anyone to at least pull 6 months in the National Guard. There are things that civilians just don't know, and there is no good reason why they shouldn't gain from the experience.

Don't misunderstand. There is a lot of bullshit in the armed services, but it was a valuable education all the same.

Good hunting. El Bee

Well, I wasn't issued that Grease Gun as my personal weapon but rocking with 45ACP in full auto, I've been there, got the teeshirt. Also real 50 M2, we had them in a ring mount on our deuce and a half's. You stand on the bench seat to man it. One each squad, it actually takes three men to carry a 50. One guy the barrel, one guy the tripod and the third guy carried the action...and we haven't even considered ammo yet. We also had a "Bazooka" 3.5, although I never fired it, as I recall, they would select a half a dozen guys to qualify once a year and I <sniff, sniff> never got picked. And we never wore those pussy earplugs! Which is why I'm practically deaf.

Down memory lane.

Yeah! Sorta unbelievable!

Once a year you get a couple familiarization rounds. Pretty awesome! The surplus ammo usually had a Korean War era headstamp. We has a little cottage industry making swagger sticks from pool cues with a 30'06 on the front and an empty 50 case on the upper end. Every officer wanted one! We only had a few M14's. Like 2? And, although some units had M16's, we didn't. I usually carried a pipsqueak M2 Carbine, but it is actually a handy little rifle. Ours were selective fire.
