Okay, I recorded a movie on TCM the other day and finally got around to watching it last night.
They showed both versions of THE BODY SNATCHERS, but I only recorded the 1956 version. Actually, it was great all those '56 cars and a wide assortment, Mercs, Fords, Buicks don't even remember what not? but just about everything, and the movie was of course, in black and white.
So, the story is some kind of space aliens dropped into this area in "pods" that looked like a huge tobacco leaf bud, all wrapped up like a papoose.
Well, then they invaded the body of these town people and kinda turned them into zombies and this one guy was resisting and they were all chasing him because they wanted him to be just like them, robots.
It got all the way to the last part where he and his girlfriend were hiding in a cave, what looked like up on the old ridge route? He left and when he got back, naturally his girlfriend had suddenly became one of them, to his horror!
So, he ran down to the highway and tried to snag a ride and nobody would pick him up until he hopped in the back of a truck which turned out to be full of "pods" stacked like watermelons. That was the end, he was stuck in a hopeless situation trying to warn everybody of the alien bodysnatchers.
Suddenly, I knew what it was about! these aliens from outer space transformed everybody into LIBERALS !
Perfect! Liberals are in fact zombies from outer space and wanting to get everybody to conform. Brain dead Democrats, the whole town and chasing the last Republican, who didn't stand a chance against their duplicity and lies and deceit. Yet they wouldn't give up until the last honest, thinking man in town had been converted. It sure looked hopeless!
I'm not making this up!

You will have to revert to the tried and true solution for converting brain dead Liberals. You need to drive a stake through their heart; with a big wooden mallet. It's a bit messy, but it works.

That's the cure for vampires.
Liberals are more like zombies.
The primary brain housing group needs to be readjusted, usually with blunt force trauma.
