Leonard's earlier post regarding the anti-gun sentiment in NJ got me thinking.
I am selling my house, and the realtor wants me to remove my mounts (deer / fox / coyote) and stow them away someplace out of view.
Then she told my wife she wanted me to remove a replica Model 1866 Winchester from over the fireplace. I indicated that it wasn't a real gun. Doesn't matter...people don't perceive it that way.
Well I live in a rural county so it shouldn't be an issue really? But there are people from out of county who will potentially be looking into buying up here.
What has the world become?
PS....she must not have noticed my WWII memorabilia.

Had a realtor try to rearrange my home told her to go fuck herself ! Still sold the home for better than asking ! She got her commission just the same stupid bitch !

Don't kid yourself, that WWII stuff is also a negative with Liberals. They AREN'T patriotic and make no bones about it. I am so immersed in the Second World War, it's not funny. Right now, I'm reading a best seller about a tank crew invading Cologne, in 1945. I've read everything from the Band of Brothers to biographies of Winston Churchill. But more about the Pacific war than anything, Midway, Coral Sea, all the Island campaigns. My very close uncle was a BAR man on Iwo, and Kawajajalain. (spellchecker's stumped on that one) Trust me, I'm up on double-you-double-you-two.
The Greatest Generation saved the world and we shouldn't ever forget it. I'm disgusted to say it; Liberals don't give a shit about patriotism or value what America stands for.

Leonard, I still have my bullet collection on the shelf along with my WWII stuff so I am still good.
Then downstairs there are my bullet ridden targets on the walls and gun cases all over the place. That's why I think it's weird she concentrated on the mounts and the cowboy gun.

Different world here. I have an interior design friend who owns her own home interior design company. She has asked me often what it would cost to get this mount or that mount, price wise, for her clients who view them less as a personal trophy and more as furniture.
Everyone I know has guns out their ass stowed away in every nook and cranny of their homes, cars, garages, bathrooms, you get the idea. The state legislature here is so gun friendly that they just said, "Fuck it. Open and concealed carry on college campuses without a permit? No problem!"
When a guy in Wichita shot a reprobate that was trying to accost him on his own property, he not only didn't get arrested, let alone charged, but the nice policemen took the time after taking the report and before the guy could clean up the mess to suggest a better bullet for personal defense than the FMJ's he had used. Of course, if some POS is in my house threatening me and I have to shoot, key holing him with ball ammo over and over until he finally agrees with me on his shitty life decisions doesn't seem like that bad of an idea, except it would literally scare the shit out of my dogs which means I'd have at least three messes to clean up when the smoke cleared.
I cannot imagine living under the kind of constitutional oppression you folks suffer. Come to the heartland where the sound of freedom comes with a bit of recoil.

Lance, I might consider moving to Kansas after a little more GLOBAL WARMING takes effect. Right now forfuckingforgetit! Get back to me when the climate improves. Shouldn't be too much longer.

Sold all my mounts when we downsized and moved up here got fair money for them all , to the same collector. Still miss seeing them on the wall.
