Yesterday, I had dinner at an upscale place on the Huntington Beach Pier called "Duke's".
The fish was very good and being politically correct, I couldn't hardly order beef so went with the macadamia encrusted halibut.
But, that's not what this is about. First of all, I had to ask for salt and pepper. Second, actually first in annoyance was that I had to ask the waiter how much to purchase a straw? He came back with two of the fanciest paper straws I have ever seen! And, it got soggy and bent in half, halfway through my first fill up; couldn't stir with it any more.
This phony bullshit is getting out of hand! First, they came for my plastic bag and I had to stuff my apples in my pockets. Next, they have criminalized plastic straws!
I'm so damned tired of being manipulated by CONTROL FREAKS ! Ninety bucks for fish, no salt and pepper and no straws!
Tell me that I'm not alone, here? Somebody? HELLO?

Hello.....went out to eat awhile back, got a salad with my steak, asked for A-1 and thousand island the waiter looked at me like I was from another planet. Now I was in Missouri when this happen, might have been to Far East, I don't no, never had it happen to me any where else.

They have legislation on cow farts already in Sacramento but it will do nothing about it but tax the farmers it is never about the environment its always about money !

Hey! What about my straw? The damned thing was slightly fuzzy to begin with, I thought it had a wrapper and tried to peel it. Then it got soggy, wasn't a match for those ice cubes. Ultimately, I only needed two, and I was too ashamed to ask for a third. (they looked expensive)
Yeah, paper straws. )WTF A politically correct solution to a NON fucking PROBLEM!

I'm cooking a rib roast tonight. Need to stop on the way home and pick up some fixings. I think I'll buy a big box of plastic straws and then throw them all away as soon as I get home.

That halibut was a disappointment in that it wasn't steaked crossways as I prefer. It was filleted and I felt cheated. Then too, my date got a combo, shrimp and Chilean bass and it was mostly shrimp and bok choy. I wasn't that impressed with any of it.

Let's see? Littering straws, (plastic) presently, is not any worse than throwing lighted cigarettes from a vehicle in fire season; so if you're going to do it, do it now before it's upgraded to a class 3 felony. Also, you may be too late? They might have all been pulled from the shelves? Remember when some monster filled Tylenol capsules with rat poison to kill total strangers. Granted, that wasn't nearly as serious, but they had removed all Tylenol in a matter of weeks. <sarc> We can't just close our eyes to turtle deaths; or any of God's creatures. People? Not so much.
It really pisses me off that control freaks get away with so much! Damn, I would hate to be a friggin' Liberal! What's it like, Paul? And, where is ko ko?

I can foresee the day when people carry their own upscale straws into a restaurant like some do with their own chop-sticks.
I notice that WD-40 has 'Not for sale in Calif.' on the label.
I may finance my next trip to Calif. by selling WD-40 out of the back of my truck.

I have used WD- 40 on plastic baits it works!
The wd stands for water dispersant ! its not really a lubricant .

Yes, not much, in the way of a "personal lubricant"....so I'm told? About like spit.
But, it is effective, especially sprayed on a soft lure. I once hooked a little blue belly that stalked a small jelly grub. He fought with it, subdued it and ran off. I hope he spit it out?
