Five years ago Thanksgiving we were coming home from my folks place. My dad had passed away in May so making a lot of time for my mom. We live just 3 miles away but have a main ridge between us. As we were going home going up a small hill on the county road I knew I'd see a cougars tail go flashing into the sagebrush along the road. About the time we got closer this house cat came flying out of this tall sagebrush (almost walking on air) with the cougar hot on it's tail.
It was so funny to see a flying kitty cat. I suspect it's still around as our deer herd has gotten smaller and the other half found a cougar kill right behind our house up on the hill a couple years back.
