I've been hearing since about March, it's gonna' be a bad one. According to the Farmers Almanac of course. It was about the 1st of March our snow melted.
We normally don't sell snow blowers @ work, we brought some in sold 1/2 dozen already. I noticed a local grocery store had snow shovels out in early October.
Home Depot in Ontario has a big line of snow blowers out front.
Looks like we might get a wet snow Sunday night or Monday morning.
I hope this is another Y2K or Eclipse situation.
I have about of ton of hay & another coming for my small place. Have a guy dropping off a couple of big straw bales this weekend.
We shall see ? [ November 02, 2017, 09:43 AM: Message edited by: Dave Allen ]

It's been cloudy all day here, so far. Normally, the sun would be shining and it would be much warmer.

what is this "air conditioning" that you speak of? We don't even have it at my house. I've burned probably 1/3 cord of wood already, BUT that's only because my wife's office is in the basement and it is usually a bit cool down there, and she is cold blooded, more so than any snake I've ever handled.

Duck season started here last week. Usually the first couple or 3 weeks there arent many birds around but there are tones of ducks and geese in the fields. That generally means an early and bad winter.

It was snowing like a bugger yesterday. Started at Warm Springs and got real bad on Banner summit. Finally ran out of it on the flats just past the Seafoam road turn off. Spit rain all the way to Challis then quit. 73 degrees the day before in Rome Oregon. Crazy weather in actually small areas.

It snowed here in Central Kansas on Halloween. This is the earliest snow we have had in a number of years.
Temps have been yo-yoing...80 on Sunday before Halloween, and then a high of 32 on Halloween. Supposed to be 45 today and 75 Saturday...crazy!

As I alluded to, can anybody explain St Francis? The time zone between Mountain and Central follows the vertical boundary between Colorado and Kansas until it gets to St Francis then, like building a fence, it makes a jog east and south and back west to encompass the city limits and then down the rest of the way, normally. Somebody in St Francis must be pretty important, but it confuses everybody else. (end of rant)

St. Francis is not the end of the world, but you can sure see it from there!
Mtn. Time Zone even gets goofier, LB...once you get south of St. Francis, it jogs east and then goes south, and then when it gets about 50 miles from the OK border, the Mtn. Time Zone is the Colorado State Line...
All of the Panhandle of TX and OK are in the Central Time Zone...
