Its still as slow as it was fifteen years ago when I had it in an office in North Phoenix. Cant even watch a video clip on an iphone. Alas the good news is they are launching a new satellite into space in Dec. all new tech. supposed to be fast as anything else out there , we'll see.

Well... Thanks for the update anyway Paul.
It will need to be pretty fast, say at least a dependable 20MB down and 15MB up to be useable for me. And, a lot faster than that even, would be better.
What I have at home now averages over 50MB down and 15MB up. With all the constant video conferencing I do anymore, there's no such thing as too fast...

For whatever it's worth, just in case somebody falls for Time/Warner. I haven't had worse service since "dial up". When the best thing you can say about a provider is, "no contract", that's pretty bad. I'm wishing I had stayed with DISH.

If the issue is living in the sticks and not having a satellite provider?
All I can say is, the Navajo res is a huge place, might occupy 25% of the state of Arizona and small parts of NM and Utah.
But, if you drive around that res, just over every little hill and dale, you will find a hogan with a Directv dish. No electricity, no running water but they got TV.
I don't know what that proves but it's remote as anywhere and they ALL have TV and it's ALL Directv.
