Several weeks ago, I posted a thread about the ISIS threat to Fort Riley. Turns out the kid was a nut job ISIS wannabe. Fast forward to this week.
This is not being reported by any media that I have seen, but all military posts received order Friday to button things down. All gate security was stepped up. This is nationwide, I guess.
At Fort Riley, Monday morning, traffic was backed up going east and west on I-70 for over a mile by staff and base personnel trying to get to work. The normal process of going past the guard post with the decals on your cars have now been changed to driving over an Xray device - every vehicle entering the post - and ID's from every person in the vehicles. One of my co-workers' wives works on post in a really rather benign job, and even the building where she works is now surrounded by concrete K-rails - those cement dividers you see down the middle of highways, and anytime there are people at work in that building, an armed MP is stationed at every point of entry. All events that were planned/ scheduled for civilians on post have been cancelled indefinitely.
Makes you think, huh? We see it. We talk about it. We have our own ideas about what's up. Nothing on the news. Anywhere.

Well, it must have been mentioned somewhere? I heard about it.
I'd like to see ISIS raid a gun show, or show up at my club's range. I'd be willing to trade some lead with those assholes.

Maybe the media was asked to not reveal the defenses that are now in place, and for once the complied. I DOUBT IT.
