I just read where our POS president had a couple of illegal aliens as guests of honor at the SOTU shindig
I thought that was against the law to harbor or assist an illegal.Being a felony and all!
But no, this CLOWN of a president is above the law.

Here's a little quiz, to make your day.

Six trivia questions to see how much history you really know. Be honest; it's kind of fun and revealing. If you don't know the answer make your best guess. Answer all of the questions (no cheating) before looking at the answers.

And, no, the answers to these questions aren't all Barack Obama.

1) "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

A. Karl Marx B. Adolph Hitler C. Joseph Stalin

D. Barack Obama E. None of the above

2) "It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, and for the few... and to replace it with shared responsibility, for shared prosperity."

A. Lenin B. Mussolini C. Idi Amin

D. Barack Obama E. None of the above

3) "(We).... can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."

A. Nikita Khrushchev B. Joseph Goebbels C. Boris Yeltsin

D. Barack Obama E. None of the above

4) "We have to build a political consensus and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own .. in order to create this common ground."

A. Mao Tse Tung B. Hugo Chavez C. Kim Jong II

D. Barack Obama E. None of the above

5) "I certainly think the free-market has failed."

A. Karl Marx B. Lenin C. Molotov

D. Barack Obama E. None of the above

6) "I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy that they are being watched."

A. Pinochet B. Milosevic C. Saddam Hussein

D. Barack Obama E. None of the above

Scroll down for answers...

... and the answers are:

(1) E. None of the above. Statement was made by Hillary Clinton 6/29/2004

(2) E. None of the above. Statement was made by Hillary Clinton 5/29/2007

(3) E. None of the above. Statement was made by Hillary Clinton 6/4/2007

(4) E. None of the above. Statement was made by Hillary Clinton 6/4/2007

(5) E. None of the above. Statement was made by Hillary Clinton 6/4/2007

(6) E. None of the above. Statement was made by Hillary Clinton 9/2/2005

Want to know something scary?

She may be the next president...........

So, what I really want to know, and do not know, is who are the Republicans going to run in '16?

Nobody knows, of course. But that's the question I'm most interested in.

I hope Hillary does run, as I don't think she can win against anyone with a clue.

But, it's far from sure the Republicans will nominate anyone that actually does have a clue.

So...

Then again, I'm neither fish nor fowl. Independent. Hate the Republicans and the Democrats equally. But the Dems have never run anyone for POTUS I'd consider the lesser of two evils. Not since Ronald Reagan has there been anyone I've voted "for" President, rather than voting "against" someone.

I can feel myself being disgusted with the choices already...

Hey Dave. If it wasn't for the Republicans, your guns would have been gone, a long time ago. I'm not on their bandwagon, since I am a one issue voter = The Second Amendment.

Do they disappoint me? Routinely. But, they are all we got. An "Independent" will never be elected, utter folly to think so.

See, it's like the pitcher who "only" has a fastball and a curve ball. Not true, they have the whole plate and any speed in-between. That means, they also posses two changeups.

Just in case you aren't following: We have candidates like Romney and Ted Cruz. Whatever they are, they are not DEMOCRATS, so it's okay to vote for them or anybody in-between.

Personally, I could vote for ANYBODY versus Hillary. Anybody versus Biden. Anybody versus Warren. But, that doesn't make me an Independent. Independents won't defend The Second Amendment. Just as the Democrats have the unions in their hip pocket, or visa versa? The NRA has the Republicans, and thank God for that!

Republicans know at least that much, they must defend our guns, so that's our party. There is no other choice. (edit) therefore, it doesn't matter the suit. Vote the Party and you won't be disappointed.

Good hunting. El Bee

Leonard, I disagree with so much of what you just wrote, so profoundly, that I don't feel it possible to convey, without pissing you off.

So, I'll simply say, that I don't agree, with much of anything, you just wrote.

"Anybody" just doesn't cut it for me. The Devil that tells me the lies I want to hear, is better than the one that tells me the lies I don't?

Well, figure it out any way you want. It is, (unfortunately) the lesser of two evils. With any Democrat as most evil, as far as I am concerned. If you are white, or any race, if you have a job, a family, any flavor of middle-class imaginable, then you should never vote for a Democrat.

I don't care if you disagree about the gun issue. Obama sounds good on some issues that a voter could misunderstand as some form of "Liberty" but he's a socialist and no self-respecting Libertarian (theoretically) should ever vote for him.

So, I reread my previous post and could understand someone disagreeing with it. Some of it, part of it, parsing it, misspelling something, but "so profoundly" leaves me a little mystified?

quote:
"disagree with so much of what you just wrote, so profoundly"
So, who are you waiting for? The Second Coming? Nobody else deserves your vote? I guess I don't understand? Not vote? You going to sit on your hands if "anybody" is running and let Hillary win by one vote? For whatever it's worth, I'm going to vote for somebody. I will vote, even if there is not much daylight between candidates.

I have to tell you that I don't agree with what you wrote, either. But, I think you are a good man.

Good hunting. El Bee

What has to happen to make me a happy voter the republicans must embrace the tea party and put up a candidate that will protect and re-establish our liberty. We have lost so much , Government must shrink , states right recognized and generational welfare must end. I could go on for days. The 2nd amendment is one of the most important issues but certainly not the only one.

Maybe not, it just happens to be a yardstick. I don't have time to do an indepth with every potential candidate, but when I understand where they are on The Second Amendment, those other issues seem to fall in line, AND. When a Democrat shares his views on "too many guns" that also tells me just about all I need to know. Too simplistic, perhaps, but it sure allows me to cut to the chase, when I need to fine tune an opinion.

When it comes to independents you only have to look at Joe Liberman. The guy might as well be a democrat. He supports most of the gun control bills ever written. I'm a libertarian in many respects, but I would rather vote for a conservative Republican any day over most libertarians. A good conservative Republican has the backing of his party and will be able serve on key subcommittees where the real work is done. An independent or a libertarian has a hard time getting into a subcommittee. I'm do believe many of the issues that affect us daily should be turned over to the states as Paul has said.

I get it Leonard it is a quick scan check on where a candidate falls on many issues.
I think conservatives have to stop apologizing for their views such as abortion and stop skating around the edges. Abortion is murder plain and simple with few exceptions. Why cant we just state the truth and dig in for the fight and not cave at every corner. some wise person on this board has a sig line that sums it up:
'Doing the right thing isn't always easy but its always right'

Yes, Paul. I agree that abortion could just as easily be a bellweather issue for a lot of people, including me. I think it's disgusting the cavalier way people treat a fetus and think it's a freedom of choice issue. Not so much that people have their reasons, but the way these reasons are taken to extremes; and then have the gaul to insist the procedures be subsidized by taxpayers, or Hobby Lobby.

If a woman, without consulting with the father, decides to end a pregnancy, I believe in a certain degree of freedom within certain accepted limits, if she is willing to pay for the procedure, or find a doctor in Sweden.

I do not expect everyone to agree with my concept on abortion and the ethics involved. But, where the rubber meets the road is in the government subsidizing. I have ethic and moral grounds, and a religious foundation for these views.

When a "doctor" pokes a hole in the base of the neck to insert a vacuum tube , to suck the brains from a technically unborn fetus, that's exhibit A.

But, then we have Scott ? convicted of multiple murder for killing and drowning his pregnant wife and her unborn child. So, if killing an unborn child and the mother constitutes multiple murder, then this opens up a whole can of worms as to exactly when does life begin?

So, we have a legal definition of when we are allowed to abort. Whatever, but cloaking it in a "freedom" issue is the part that strays from humanity. I have a hard time understanding how any female would be in favor of abortion, other than a genuine life or death situation? Getting back at her exboyfriend is not a good reason. Especially when there are so many remedies to fertilization, in the first place.

Agreed, it's a very deep subject.

Good hunting. El Bee

The thing I can't stomach is when the same pro-abortion libtards get all riled up about saving whales, wolves, owls, feral cats, trees, etc. You name it, they want to crusade to save the poor defenseless animals!
But when it comes time to break a fetus into pieces and crush it's skull in order to remove it from Mommy's womb, that same feeling of compassion is suddenly lost???

Their hypocrisy knows no bounds...

Good point, Fred. If you were to do to a puppy what the abortion clinics do to a human fetus/baby, they would be for stringing you up on the nearest lamp post.

And, don't get me started on what the Humane Society does with your contributions! They kill/euthanize every last one of those pathetic little puppies and kittens. Adoption and "no kill facility" are not in their Lexicon. All you are doing with your money is paying for their staff to live high on the hog.

Oh, did I mention, the Humane Society is rabid anti-gun?

Fred and LB bring up great points. Animal Planet has a program with the libs chasing after the Japanese whale boats trying to disrupt whaling operations. It would be refreshing to see those same people try and protect the roughly 1 million babies that end up being ripped from the womb each year.

The Knights of Columbus have a movie entitled ‘Silent Scream’…it actually shows an abortion, up to and including the ‘doctor’ reassembling the parts of the baby to make sure he got everything. The parts ended up in a stainless steel bucket in a corner.

I grew up on a farm and have seen lots of animals slaughtered, but nothing prepared me for what I watched in that movie.

If some of the ‘pro-choice’ folks can watch that and still have the same opinion about abortion afterward, I hope God has mercy on their souls.

I avoid the abortion argument whenever possible in "social" settings, but on the rare occasion it's been brought up, and there is no way out, my show stopper to the discussion has been to listen to the rant, then suggest, it's a pity your mother didn't have your passion for the subject....that usually ends it.
