So, what I'm thinking is....
Homeland Security has already admitted that they view all veterans, outdoorsmen, hunters and firearm owners as potential terrorists.
What I'm thinking is that, as we kid around, and take a dim view of police screwups around here; it is entirely possible that these Government types sincerely feel that we are real threats. We could do damned near anything, from ambushing cops to climbing the Whitehouse Fence.
They may be not far from a NO KNOCK visit in the middle of the night. Shit, I guess the paranoids are after me again.
Am I over reacting?

Harry Reid was right.

What happens when the `potential terrorists` groups add up to more than 51% of the population ??

From what I have read and heard, the government is genuinely very concerned about "the Bubba Effect", a phenomenon where some event will trigger a full scale response by American civilian gun owners. Their worst nightmare, I guess.

Lance--I am thinking the government might change their mind about the ‘Bubba Effect’ if the fight is ever brought here. I think they might be damn glad to get help from like minded people fighting for a common cause.
Kind of like the old joke…’We could take care of Iraq and Afghanistan if we told about 5,000 rednecks that the guys we were fighting were responsible for Earnhardt’s death’…
Back to the guy that shot the trooper…Fox News had a guy up in PA reporting the guy had a rifle with a ‘sniper scope’, capable of shooting things from hundreds of yards away…like this was something new he just discovered…idiot.

Yeah, when "assault rifle" stops working, the favorite BUZZ WORD is "Sniper Anything".
Imagine that, hundreds of yards. We need a law!
Also, non lethal bubble gum bullets. Once we outlaw lead. What? already been done? Hey, great!

It pains me to no end when even Fox says "knife carrying man jumps White House fence"
He had a small fucking Spyderco in his pocket. I say that because this country has lost all goddamn common sense. What kid didnt grow up with a pocketknife just a couple generations ago? Silly.

Oh yes, the sensationalism (is that a word?) of the media. Where a "Sniper" scope equipped rifle is every bit as dark and evil as a mass-murdering "Assault" weapon, and carrying around a pocket knife is akin to wielding a phuggin' Claymore.....
