(CBS) -- In broad daylight, two older men armed with guns held up a medical clinic on the West Side and made off with hundreds of dollars’ worth of Viagra and other drugs.
CBS 2’s Dorothy Tucker reports from Chicago’s Austin community.
Causing little attention, two men entered a West Side medical center Saturday on the pretense of wanting to see the dentist. But as soon an employee opened the door of the office, he was met with two bandits brandishing a semi-automatic and a handgun. They told him to put up his hands and get on his knees.
Minutes later, the robbers started filling a box with drugs. They took 56 Viagra pills worth $1,700. They also took Xanex, a muscle relaxant; Norco, a pain killer and codeine-laced cough syrup, valued at $400.
Employees say the men, both in their late-50s, seemed a little nervous as they moved around the office but gave no indication they would shoot anyone.
They had no visible tattoos, but one was wearing Tasmanian Devil T-shirt and the other a green band that looked like a medical bracelet. Before leaving, they grabbed a $1,500 laptop, $65 in cash from an employee’s wallet and made sure they had all the Viagra.
The owners of the pharmacy said the men gave no indication if they would use the Viagra themselves or sell it on the street for a profit.
Police ask for the public’s help.

Oh, Chicago? Nevermind. El Bee

Don't let him off that easy, LB. I heard he was there on vacation visiting the Cambodian American Heritage Museum when he was stricken with an abscessed tooth.....

Forgot to add: The $20 question..... Who was his sidekick?

Chicago ????? Gots to be the armpit of the country. Couple of good museums but other than that they can bulldoze the entire city into Lake Michigan.
56 pills for $1700 ??? Leonard, is that what they cost you ???? At $30 per each, no wonder you supported o bamacare.

That's as weak a defense as I have ever heard.

PS if Viagra needed a testimonial, they won't find me much help. I can't figure what the fuss is all about?

I read a statistic somewhere which made light of the fact that more people are shot in the shitty of chicago in a week's time, than are shot in Afghanistan, during a week of WAR FIGHTING.

That is some fucked up shit...

YA, BUT.

A Liberal sees perfect logic in deaths, the inspiration of strong gun laws. See....it's those other places that need "improvement" of their gun laws so that Chicago can calm down. It's so obvious to a Liberal, why can't you see it, Paul? If every other city, county and state would enact and enforce ultra strong gun laws, then Chicago would be safer. Makes perfect sense to a friggin' Liberal!

I recently pointed out to a liberal, female-like thing that the ONLY thing that puts her, a member of the weaker sex, myself, a frail old man and a 20 year old thug on even terms is the possibility of the presence of a handgun.
She hasn't spoken to me since. [Smile]

.............and that proves that I couldn't have been in Chicago snorting Viagra.

I was doing a little job for Bayer a couple of years ago and my security escort pointed out this lock up area.
It wasn't an extravagant lock up by any means, but you could tell whatever was inside was definitely more important than everything else.
Inside this room was 2 pallets, only stacked a foot or 2 high.
My escort said that is was $2mil worth of Bayer's version of Viagra!

Alright,...funny story time. [Wink]
When Viagra was still pretty new, (then) co-worker of mine's wife apparently got ahold of some, and wanted him to try it for an upcoming romantic weekend of sorts...
So, he tells me she called a Dr. and they tell her that..."If his erection doesn't subside in less than 4 hours to take him to the hospital"...

My reply:..."F__ck that!,...If it was me, and it didn't go down for 4 hours,...she'd be the one that needed a trip to the hospital!"... [Wink]

And now the really weird part of that story...
Like I said, that was when Viagra was new, so,...A long time ago.
Apparently, several of my (still) co-workers, people whom I trust, ran into this "guy" working maintenance for a college downtown,...
And he's had a complete sex change and is now living life as a woman!!
Totally freaky! "He" has actually walked up to several people that work for us and said, "I used to work for your company"!!
The guy was always a little "off", but never in a million years would you have guessed he was like that!
His name was Harold for crying out loud! "Harold" just doesn't sound like a transgender name to me! [Wink] Before you ask, I have no idea what he goes by now,...I assume Harriet! [Wink]

So,...The reason his wife "needed" Viagra, all those years ago, soon became abundantly clear...

....if you say so? It's not all that clear to me, however? You mean his "wife" was a male homosexual sort? There are so many ways to swing these days, and I'm so damned traditional, it's sickening.

Not that it really matters, I just thought it was an amusing story, but I'll try to simplify it.

When the guy worked with me, he was just a normal guy. His wife had planned a romantic weekend getaway for the two of them and wanted him to take some Viagra for the fun of it...I guess?

Fast forward a decade or more,...people I know run into the guy,...who is now living life as a woman.

So maybe the Viagra wasn't for fun? Hell, I dunno.
I guess I was thinking that since he decided he was a woman, maybe other women didn't "do it" for him??
It's way out of my depth of understanding, that's for sure...

Thanks duck dog, that really clears it up?

It's like the guy who's lived across the street for 40 years, Viet Nam vet, you think you know somebody, right? Then, one day, not long ago he tells me he voted for Obama! Everything changed, right there. True story.

PS, I've never been in prison? I am probably missing out on one of the supreme joys of life?
