Got my first Bobcat the other day, weighed in about 26 lb on the bathroom scale.I have got three lynx when I lived up in Alaska and noted a very similar response and approach to the caller also same response at the shot. Also got a coyote,so it was a good morning hunt. [ January 22, 2016, 08:10 AM: Message edited by: tedo ]

26 pounds in the Benson area seems like a good size cat? Much damage?
Good hunting. El Bee

There was some damage on exit unfortunately, about a 3" hole. He was facing me when I shot him and exited behind the shoulder. I have been using 50 grain V Max in a .222 Remington and been fur friendly on coyotes. I am getting into this SW predator hunting, beats the hell out of -10 temps. I'll post a few pictures when I get that figured out.

Fair number of cats in that part of the world, I would find a better bullet for that rifle. Coyotes not worth a lot but the cats can be worth some money at times. Congrats on the cat.
